Drooling on the fretboard

Does anybody else have a problem drooling on the fretboard when practicing sitting down? I can't stand blazing through a difficult passage and only realizing my mouth is hanging open after a long thread of spit has made it way onto my 19th fret. Drives me up the wall.. I hope it doesn't warp my neck!!

I've been "in the zone" before and drool has come out of my mouth...happens when you really get into it and you kinda become one with the bass. One of those Zen moments in your playing. Serious.

Get yourself some basses with maple fretboards. Won't stop the drooling, but maple always has a finish on it so you won't have to worry about the spit damaging your bass!!
