Drug Overdose may have messed me up...

I had a MRI/MRA which is the highest level scan you can possibly have... Everything came back normal.. But to the people who asked, it didnt just all of a sudden happen 5 months after I took it.. It happened about a week later... It happened like this...

I took it at 11:00 on a Saturday nights by 11:05 I was hallucinating and my body felt so hot.. I seriously thought about taking my clothes off and running down the street naked..My heart rate was at least 150 bpm and my speech became slurred, I could not think or remember anything that was happening. It was a nighmare. At 11:20 I finally calm down enough to drive home and when I go to walk across parking lot all of reality just shifts... Like a mirror breaking. Couldnt get across parking hardly and had to setup checkpoints in the parking lot just to make it across...

Finally get home and couldnt sleep for 6 hours and all the while random thoughts were popping in and out of my head.. Next day I woke up and vision was F*****.... The world was actually glitching like a computer screen.. I could not believe it.. Woke up next day and was fine so I thought.. Four days later had first panic attack and its been downhill ever since..

I'll update this a little later.. Have to go to school now....
Sounds to me like the Spice you took wasn't the synthetic marijuana. Sounds more like you took the "bath salts" called Spice that I mentioned earlier.

Don't really know what to say. You made so many mistake in a row that night that it's just pitiful. I'm not going to list them off but I'll just leave it at...you hurt yourself.

The reality is that each and every single study performed in the US has been privately funded by pro-marijuana legalization organizations, and the released information has been proven to be biased, at best. I do not mean one or two tests could possible be biased. I mean each and every single one of them have been privately funded for the benefit of the financial interests of those providing the finances.

Well, you already summed up my response perfectly, so I'll just steal a quote from you....

"so far that is the single most uninformed and and blatantly untrue statement I have seen on TB"

;)

Just give it time, continue going to meetings, call your sponsor everyday for now, and stay away from that stuff. You will come back to normal. It just takes time. The synthetic stuff is always potent, and just "weird".

I, too, bought the lie that drugs enhance my playing and music. MAYBE it was true in a small window of time, but living clean and sober is the easier, more creative way.

Just do the next right thing buddy and you'll do great. :hyper:

The effects you describe sound a whole lot like the effects of the drug SALVIA

+1

Also, nowhere in the OPs account did he describe anything that would be considered an "overdose".

I smoked synthetic mj once while in Georgia, and it did absolutely nothing for me.

Just like any other intoxicating substance, there is a point where excess becomes toxic to the body. You will never read about this on a NORMAL website, because it does not support their best interests, but that is an undeniable fact.

Actually you will. And the point of excess is so high that one is most likely to fall asleep before that point could be reached.

a weed overdose is also known as "falling asleep"

yup.

... it just sounds like the OP blew his tamale without being ready for his tamale to be blown.

My new sig... Sorry for the warped sense of humor, but that cracked me up.

Also +1. If you're not geared up for something like that then it can really mess with your head. I have seen it over and over again while 'babysitting'. You never know where the rabbit hole might go, and you damn sure better be ready for anything especially if trying it for the first time.

OK. PROVE me wrong... Don't just give an opinion. prove it decisively, beyond any doubt. List your sources, AND the sources of income and funding for their tests

here is a hint... I have been through this same discussion before, so I have all ready addressed all the so called proof you will find on NORMAL or pro-marijuana websites. If that is all you have, I can shred that without even considering it a challenge

and just so you know...I was originally a pro-pot decriminalization advocate. I changed my stand on blanket decriminalization AFTER seeing the problems with CA's prop 215. Now I support regulation and taxation. I have probably seen, or even used some of the information you wish to hold as absolute fact

many people have written many books on the beneficial and positive connection between intoxication and the creative "spark" in artistically inclined people, citing such reputable artists as da vinci, van gogh, picasso, rembrandt, beethoven, mozart, etc.

in my personal experience, there's just something about the combination of a THC high combined with the energy of a crowd and playing music to them. i'm not going to fan the flames of yet another "drugs make better music" argument though, there are already plenty of threads about that!

Getting and keeping yourself in the right mental state for performing is a skill that probably doesn't get the attention it deserves.

Some bands/acts require full attention and I go for a brisk walk before the show...get my blood pumping and my mind wide awake.

Conversely have played with stoner bands where it was required to get into a common fuzz before playing....and sometimes those one chord jams are just boring...unless you are high.

If you're still smoking it or using other drugs then it will be hard to tell what's causing your fogginess. Quit using drugs and see if your head clears after 6 months.

I remember back in the day experimenting with acid and the likes (Yikes!). Took months for the effects to wear off entirely. Kept seeing patterns in the leaves of trees, shadows, etc. Clears up over time.

Finally, agree that this is not the type of board to be judgmental about people who play Hofners, Ricks or use Spice aftershave....plz!

Smoked everything I could find 35 years ago. Pot from good buds to dirt weed, hash, thai sticks, liquid opium laced, coke laced. Used to take pills from our parents and then look them up in a PDR to see what they were....
Acid, PCP, (we liked to call it synthetic THC) peyote buttons (YECCCHHH!!!) and mushrooms. Still here with most of my marbles by the grace of God. I do believe that my lack of concentration (minor) was due to all that.

Never heard of a reaction like that.

Can't agree enough that you need to see a doctor. Our brain is famous for being able to compensate for the abuse we give it, but a professional can make the transition quicker and smoother.

For future reference, way back in the past there was a song covered by a band called Steppenwolf, written by a country singer named Hoyt Axton, worth a listen.

ill be honest I didn't read all of this but he prob just got really paranoid and freaked out...not a true "overdose". I agree with the people saying you need to see a psychiatrist not a doctor. Your brain is a powerful thing and that can be good and it can be bad. I bet you're just still really paranoid and actually believe that there is now something wrong with you even though you're completely fine. Just consider it a life lesson and get some real stuff. :D
