Drug Overdose may have messed me up...

I haven't smoked any synthetic stuff, nearly did, but I have done the real stuff.... three times. Very much regret it and am never going near it again, worst bit is, I'm 13.... I found it hard to concentrate for a few months after, but it is starting to pass, although I think it has affected my depression (don't actually know if I am depressed or just being a teenager, so I'll just say normal teen moodiness).

But yes, definitely go see a doctor, just to be safe.

Hi.

Some pretty mean responses here. Sure it was stupid, especially with that chemical rubbish, but you don't laugh at or mock someone's mental condition regardless of how they got there.

Not as "mean" as they should be if someone asks me.

Stupidity isn't cured with symphaty, something You'll discover later in life. Hopefully not on the recieving end though.

Without wandering onto the TB's "not approved" subjects, the casual approach to the synthetic drugs by our goverments can be seen as "weeding out the weak" so to speak. To me anyway.

OP, if You're genuinely damaged by your little experiment, and not just getting older (as your symptoms sound to me), perhaps this thread makes someone think twice about using the said synthetic "safe drugs". If that's the case, something good may come out of Your unfortunate situation.

Regards
Sam

I smoked that stuff once, all it did to me was i saw a extra outline around people for a little bit and it was the most potent of that stuff you could get.

My friends smoke it when there drinking and one friend smoked it like everyday , i have seen so many people use that and nothing. I have never seen anyone OD, you cant OD on stuff like that. You can smoke some much you freak out , i saw a girl start crying and flipping out and i saw a guy think he was drowning.

I did it once , it was stupid and never did it or will again. I am sur eit will be illegal someday but I think your problems are from soemthing else , i cant see somehting like that affecting you 5 months later.

Due respect, dude, but where did you get your medical degree? Or are you a pharmacologist? A psychotherapist? Do you even know if the "it" you refer to is the same "it" as for the OP, especially with something that different people are whipping up in their basements and garages?

OP - Get Thee to a Doctor! Drugs, even prescription drugs with controlled doses, can be unpredictable. We've all done stuff that we regret...but the truly dumb thing would be not doing something about it once you have a reaction and consequences.

Best of luck to you.

AD/HD bro...that's how it feels on a daily basis lol. I typically have to zone out and just go into autopilot to help keep my mind from going all over the place. But yes, I would go see a doctor, you may have done something far more detrimental than making you spaced-out.

Well, I looked into this a little more and it turns out that the name 'Spice' is being used for several different drugs.

The Spice that I was thinking of was the name of a "bath salt" that was being sold here recently (and has since been outlawed). That bath salt had effects more like amphetamines and PCP. I don't think it was actually a bath salt but it was being sold under the guise of being a bath salt. The bath salt, Spice, is what the guy was on here when he attack that little girl this past summer.

I was confusing that with the synthetic marijuana. In any case, the OP needs to talk to a doctor.

I had a MRI/MRA which is the highest level scan you can possibly have... Everything came back normal.. But to the people who asked, it didnt just all of a sudden happen 5 months after I took it.. It happened about a week later... It happened like this...

I took it at 11:00 on a Saturday nights by 11:05 I was hallucinating and my body felt so hot.. I seriously thought about taking my clothes off and running down the street naked..My heart rate was at least 150 bpm and my speech became slurred, I could not think or remember anything that was happening. It was a nighmare. At 11:20 I finally calm down enough to drive home and when I go to walk across parking lot all of reality just shifts... Like a mirror breaking. Couldnt get across parking hardly and had to setup checkpoints in the parking lot just to make it across...

Finally get home and couldnt sleep for 6 hours and all the while random thoughts were popping in and out of my head.. Next day I woke up and vision was F*****.... The world was actually glitching like a computer screen.. I could not believe it.. Woke up next day and was fine so I thought.. Four days later had first panic attack and its been downhill ever since..

I'll update this a little later.. Have to go to school now....

Update****

Anyway after the first panic attack, I found myself having wierd thoughts that I have never had before and the thoughts were progressively getting worse until around month 3... I have been seeing a psychiatrist and they recommend an antipsychotic because I am displaying "psychotic symptoms".. I always thought that psychotic symptoms were ongoing hallucinations, delusions and paranoia.. I have none of these but my brain just is racing really fast, unable to concentrate and read for long anymore.. Memory is just about shot.. I can barely remember yesterday and the day before that doesnt even exist.. And the weird thoughts are just horrible.. I cant even tell you what they are but Im so scared to take the antipsychotic because of the extreme side effects.. If I have to live like this for the rest of my life or they tell me this is permanent, Im seriously considering just ending myself if you catch the drift.. Somethings are just not worth living thru... Im 21 by the way..

But Imma try my damn hardest to get back to normal so I'll probably take meds.. It really sucks not being able to learn my music and enjoy it in fullness and just live life the way i used to.. Its like being mentally paralyzed.. I will never ever so smoke or drink again..

Why not smoke the real **** then? that stuff has had so many man made chemicals added to it.... It's probably as bad as Meth or such...... I still say go see a doc, they should be able to prescribe you something to help this, sorry bro....

Because for a while it was legal.

For anyone who hasn't tried the stuff before, I highly suggest keeping it that way. It's not something you want to try.

You may have had an alergic reaction. Also one of your "buddies" may have laced it with something. Sounds like you were on PCP.

Actually, this "Spice" was formulated as a loop hole to current, MUCH less dangerous drugs.

How is it that a synthetic Cannabinoid is infinitely more dangerous that the natural (actually safe) substance it replaces? Your government hard at work fellas.

This reminds me of Methadone.
Heroin addicts need to get off their Heroin habit, so big pharm creates a Heroin substitute called Methadone.
So what happens is people get off the Heroin, but now they are twice as addicted to the Methadone.
But that's ok...I guess. :rollno:

The effects you describe sound a whole lot like the effects of the drug SALVIA, which is a natural hallucinogen whose effects last for about 15-20 minutes. Are you 100% what you ingested was synthetic marijuana and not salvia? I've smoked, and do smoke from time to time, synthetic marijuana and it's never done anything near what you just described. Salvia on the other hand definitely increased heart rate, can't really communicate or walk, increased body temperature and a "shifting" of reality.. All sounds like salvia.

So once again, are you sure what you smoked was synthetic weed? How do you know, where/who did you get it from.

As far as the long term effects you describe...drugs of any kind can bring out or even amplify pre-existing mental conditions. Go to a doctor if it's concerning you this much and causing you this much trouble.

There have been several thousands of case studies and NOT one person has ever overdosed on Marijuana....

so far that is the single most uninformed and and blatantly untrue statement I have seen on TB

The reality is that each and every single study performed in the US has been privately funded by pro-marijuana legalization organizations, and the released information has been proven to be biased, at best. I do not mean one or two tests could possible be biased. I mean each and every single one of them have been privately funded for the benefit of the financial interests of those providing the finances. The reason is that the US government still classifies marijuana as a section one intoxicant, therefore making it against federal law to use taxpayer monies for testing. I think we all know how statistics can be skewed to promote the best interests of those involved...we need look no farther then the global warming scandal for an example.
Just like any other intoxicating substance, there is a point where excess becomes toxic to the body. You will never read about this on a NORMAL website, because it does not support their best interests, but that is an undeniable fact. Another such fact is that marijuana contains more cancer causing tar then even the most raw and unrefined tobacco grown or commercially available.

I have no problem with someone smoking. I do not want it next to me, but what they do with their own body is their concern. My problem is with those who will supply lies in way of evidence to promote their own habits
