Dumb CL Ad's pt 5, Dumbester and Dumberest

Classic Wrock, Bloos Band looking

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Aging, balding, greying fossil drummer who enjoys wandering around a stage playing 'classic rock and blues' for my three drunk friends who I call my 'following". If you fit this description, please email me at my nursing home address. One must is that you are required to practice and gig in white socks and sandals . Only those with AARP memberships need apply . Thank you.

Sounds like a retaliation ad posted by a fired band member.

Seen that before.

Batter operated... :D

This is a Squire P-Bass from the early 2000's. From my understanding they do not make P-Bass's anymore. I stripped the bass down and refinished the top natural wood while leaving the sides and back black. It looks pretty cool IMO. It could use a new pick guard and needs new knobs.

I replaced the pick-ups with active EMG pickups. These things are awesome and cost over $200 themselves! You'll notice the battery taped to the back. Active pickups are battery operated, and the batter won't fit inside the bass.

Amp is a 25w (I think) Fender amp.

Includes cable!

$200

Only trades considered: A welder or vintage motorcycle parts/riding gear

I actually like this one

I wouldn't call this a dumb post, because for all I know the player is on here, but I find it a bit outrageous and I question the economics of it, but thought it might be thought-provoking on here:

FAQ:
Q: What does "Recording Project" mean?
A: It means when musicians collaborate together to make songs without a band situation. However most project groups have a name.

Q: What do I need to give you in order to have you record bass on my song?
A: Email me a Mp3 Format along with chord chart(s) or even tabs.

Q:Why Mp3's? The sound quality is so bad compared to .Wav or .AIF.
A: Emailing them is easier, due to the smaller file size.I do believe you can use sites such as DropBox And Rapid Share to send huge files.

Q: Can I tell you want I want you to do or What bass line to play?
A: That's the down side. I play my bass line how I see fit, If you don't like it. Don't use it. Also it's free.

Q:How Long you been playing?
A:12 years

Q:Why do you have a FAQ?
A: To avoid stupid questions.

Q:What recording equipment do you use?
A:Don't worry about it, If you like the samples of the bass quality then that's good enough.

Q:What kind of music would you want to play?
A:Any kind except for super technical music that requires more thinking and planning rather than just playing. i.e. MathCore DeathCore.

Q:Hey I like your bass line, can I send you money for beer?
A:Sure why not! That can be arranged.

Q:Congratulations! We are going to use your bass lines for our album! What's the procedure?
A:Don't worry about any Co-Writing or Co-Producer credits. Just a simple "Bass by _______" kind of thing.

Q:I like your bass lines but I don't want you name on our album or give you any credit.
A:**** you, Pay me.

Q:Can you tab out your bass line for our bass player to play live?
A:If I have time, And if its not ridiculously complicated of a bass-line.

Q:Why are you such a dick?
A: I'm really not that bad. Just to the point to avoid wasting anyone's time.

If Interested in a collaboration or a side project. Email me right away!

Anyone who just wants free bass lines Email me right away!

Take your own advice, brrro.

For an Enthusiast
Research the guitar and make me an offer!
Or I will trade for a newer iPad 32gb or bigger
$699 Or Best Offer (951)201-7100 call/text/email

I know most "anniversary" Fenders are nothing more than a badge or neckplate, but I don't think this has even that.

If you work in a restaurant, play an instrument and hate people... (philly)

I'm a working Chef 33 years old that plays bass and guitar. I have been wanting for years to start a band comprising only of people that work in restaurants as a cathortic realease for all the **** we have to deal with. Just for fun as an answer to all the ungreatful guests(especially yelpers).

This would just be for fun.

For sale is my bass and half stack. The amp is a Behringer Ultrabass 450H head, with a Legionsound cab that has 4 10's and a tweeter. The head puts out 450 watts, the cab can handle up to 1200 watts. The bass is a Yamaha with active pickups. I got everything here while I was in high school, joined a band, the band broke up after a couple practices, and this stuff has been in my closet since college. Everything together for $700, I will sell separately though; the half stack for $400, the bass for $250. If you want specific pictures, e-mail me and I can text or e-mail them.

I really really wanted to respond to this. My obsessive English tick won't quit.

Yeah, those P Basses are rare nowadays, someone better jump on this before it's gone; may be your last chance.

You guys got me inspired, so I set out to find some bassist ads near me.

Entry 1:
Need bass player with mad chops! (Northern Va. )
Bassist who is a quick study, has energy and monster chops! Vocal ability is a plus!
Location: Northern Va.
it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
Compensation: no pay

I both like and hate this one for it's simplicity. What kind of music are they playing? Mad punk chops do not always equal mad jazz chops. And no pay? No thanks...I'll take my mad chops and vocal skills elsewhere.

Entry 2:
looking for drummer and bassist. jazz and classical ability a plus. influences include boston, kansas, blue tip, clash, archers of loaf.
two albums written
i have a practice space in silver spring available weekdays from 2pm to 7pm
art is art and the sublime of course is what we ultimately play music for but at the end of the day lets make some money. i want to start playing clubs in two months and record.
serious inquiries only
no egos no drama
Location: silver spring
it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
Compensation: 40/30/30 for each paying gig and merchandise sales

The first part in bold is what strikes me the most; "hey, we just love makin' music man...just kidding, f*** that." The "no egos no drama," is so blunt it's effective.

Granted they aren't the worst CL ads I've ever seen (not by far), but they're the worst the DMV has out currently.
