Dumb question of the day.

Why do I have to pull the TRS cable slightly out of the input of my headphone amplifier for it to work properly ? It seems that the cable ends don't line up properly with the prongs of the input. I got rid of one small 4 ch headphone and because of this, but my new one does the same thing (Samson 4 ch $50) What am I doing wrong here.

Stereo cable in a mono input?

Yeah- sounds like it's a mono in. Pulling it out slightly essentially turns a TRS into a standard TS cable.

Thanks, the in on the headphone amp is supposed to be stereo, maby the headphone out on my cheap berringer mixer is mono. Thanks !
