Dumpster find. Warning: Rogue content. How lucky am I?

The worst part of the bass is the wood filler in the fret slots. I would dig that out with a dental pick or a scalpel. I would get a radius block and radius/re-radius the fingerboard, which will hopefully generate enough wood dust to repair the chip-out around the fret slots. I would inlay the fret slots with plastic or hardwood veneer. before trimming the veneers I would fill the chipped-out areas with the wood dust and saturate this with superglue. I would then trim the veneers and radius the board.

I have all of the stuff, and the inclination, to make this work. However OP might think differently.

I'd put it back in the dumpster. But I'd put some heavy work gloves on first, and then throw those in too.

If you've got a place outside to do it, you could disinfect it somehow, then paint and sticker it up for a decoration.

I wouldn't stick too much money into it though.

Regarding the roach eggs...throw that thing back into the trash! I didn't have roaches in my apartment, but worse. I had bedbugs. Any kind of pest can turn your home upside down, and in your case, for what...an extremely el cheapo bass?

IMG_0799.JPGWas on sale for $119.95 and I'm now very confident in doing my one setups. I did however change the tuners, pots and bridge. lots of fun and happy with it.

Not sure I would do anything on that. Frets have been removed making me think there might be something wrong with the neck as in something like a maxed out truss rod so the owner decided to make it fretless. Check out the truss rod before you spend a cent in trying to restore it.
