I always think of lost puppies when I see basses like this I think it would be cool to clean it up and maybe donate it to some local music program and I also have plenty of spare parts I could donate to the cause.

Kill the roaches, use black leather dye on the fingerboard...... it'll semi-cover a plethora of "tooth marks". Now, get that muscle memory going on that toothless board.

My neighbor gave me a a little Squier amp that her grandson left at her house. It was sitting under a covered porch and wasps started to make a nest in it. Needless to say it ended up in the trash ASAP!

Found this heap today. Looks like someone removed the frets with their teeth (not a terrible job really). Also came with what looks like milky white drip stains and cockroach eggs in the electronics cavity. Slight back bow on the neck, and missing tuning peg. Wondering how much effort I should put into fixing this monstrosity.

If you want to practice luthier skills it’s a perfect find. Don’t trash it! After you get it back in shape give it to somebody who will love it. I bought an Epiphone SG FOR $35 it was just a body/neck and all the frets had been brutally yanked out. Chips everywhere up and down the board. I hand sanded the fingerboard ordered some gold fret wire and gold hardware and pickups tuning machines and it still didn’t cost that much. What did I end up with? One of the best guitars I’ve owned. Black Friday is a great day to score great deals on the stuff you’ll need.

I had a rogue brand fretless bass I got in a trade.

I put a bunch of time in refinishing it which was kind of fun. Playing it was fun too. Listening to it wasn't fun though :***:.

I'm curious how to tell the difference between spider eggs and roach eggs. But scared to Google it!

Practice paint stripping, oil finishing, neck adjusting, wiring stuff. Reshape it with a saw... enjoy.
