Dunwich Amplification General Discussion

Yea overdrive is kind of a misnomer. The word distortion wouldnt fit the name though
Yeah it’s a unique circuit, I like it. It def doesn’t have a typical “distortion breakup”. The character of the breakup is really cool and I love that it has all the extra gain on tap. I hadn’t expected it and it was an awesome surprise. I’ve been stacking it with my ODB and it’s a nasty combo, loving it!

To formalize some info for me as I plan out my next moves.:

Have your say: Next Short Run (10 or less) Preorder

I don't mind double voting. I just want to know the accurate counts for people who are fairly confident they will go in on preorders.

All of them would be short 10 max.
Sweet! This is a cool idea to see what generates high interest. Does voting “other” just go as a vote for that or are we supposed to specify what that other choice would be?

An interesting request. The only issue there is the large initial investment in figuring out a good method and then implementing it. Might be prohibitive for development.
I'm screwing with you. ;)
Having a boutique, hand built tuner would be one if the grossest wastes of money ever. It would be like asking for an a\b switch.

That one is somewhat tough to replicate because its very much integrated with the output of the EQ into the final gain stage.

It was worth a shot. I'd like that Blend for the VT, DA 120, and especially the Witchfinder. Getting them all modded, if it were possible, seems like a lot to ask.... I'd for sure get in on a Super VT preorder

Yknow, I was messaging Nick about adding a regular clean blend to the big box Wizard, but depending on Depth settings it *can* feel almost like there is one and It could be a waste to get the mod. Just trying to tweak it just perfect - what's everyone out there set the Depth and EQ knobs to, to keep maximum thump through the wizard? Seems if I go too far on depth or Lo, it feels less bassy as the lows get fuzzy and compressed.

No standard setting for me. It depends on the bass I’m using and my mood. I get where your head is at though. Depending on the gain and EQ settings the Depth control can push things into too much compression or change the whole feel of the fuzz.

I almost found the options of the depth knob to be overwhelming haha. I like the idea of the “continuous” knob for the depth like on the 125b version opposed to the rotary style knob. I do recall finding a few settings where the fuzz kinda “bottomed out” from getting overly compressed.
