The fett is great and I'm excited to put it back on my board for consistent use. I usually just max the mids on the fett and goose the bass to about 40% and treble at 50%. The da120 is more of the wild one. I have the most fun maxing the gain on it and then adding in drive to taste (about 50% right now). The fett tends to be the second lvl of dirt with the da120 being the 3rd, with various mixing; so much fun.



Its the zdora 1978. The traynor 120b is what the rusty box is based off. I enjoyed the rusty box for a little bit many years ago, but it was a touch shrill/mid rangy for me, but this 1978 delivers in spades.

I grabbed it used off the FB. I talked with Jason, via messenger and didn't get the sense he was going to do another run, but I'd shoot him a message; can't hurt and he's v communitive. I'm currently kicking around the idea of pairing it w a class D power amp I have lying around, but I enjoy the tubes a bit much.

Just plugged my PJ Mustang into the W&C Box of War and ran that into a Dunwich DA-120. That is a fantastic gear combo.

That was not an easy design to develop, parallel signal mixing, tons of topology variation.

Not sure there is something that's analogous. It combines EF86 gain stage, multiple parallel Ge gain stages plus an active 3 band IC EQ. Its more of one of those ideas where you are mixing together different building blocks rather than taking a predefined blueprint and manipulating it.

I would not call it high gain, its more in the moderate gain level zone.
