My company orders from PCBWay all the time, so I just generated the gerbers with Eagle and tacked them on with a company order.

Aye. I figured someone would get clever and do that with the brd file
I stepped away from TB a little, and pedals, during the pandemic. I've been poking my nose into this thread a little more to discover this trend of DYI pedals based on Dr Nick's designs. However, I couldn't build a pedal if my life depended on it.
So now the question is: who wants my money?

On a similar note, I’ve gone old school and put the VT and ODB black on my board as my dirt section (they really can’t be beat IMO)… and I’ve even gone older school and am not running them through a clean blend. I think they sound just fine by themselves… maybe even that’s how they’re supposed to sound - unblended.

EDIT to add: Yes, indoors in lateish 2020 (September or October actually) - They were letting people inside, but we were masked and distanced.

Yes! My dirt philosophy is that good bass dirt should not need blend. It's like putting lipstick on a pig. The pig doesn't want lipstick. Why would you defile such a beautifully disgusting creature with your man-made ideals of beauty?

I think sometimes you lose something. The secret to getting great low end on the VT and ODB is to crank the bass knob…. Sounds killer.

I don't know about the ODB but the VT has an entirely passive tone stack IIRC. You had the bass presence all along, you just needed to believe in yourself
Any price under $300 is a good deal these days. Someone should jump on this.
Its listed as a post-Dunwich build by Magic so probably priced accordingly. I believe Magic is continuing to produce, though I don’t see it on the Magic site.
Didn't Magic build a large amount of the pedals before Nick shut down shop anyway? Regardless, the Magic-built pedals I have are all absolutely beautifully soldered and assembled and it's the same circuits anyway. Real cork sniffing as far as I'm concerned.
Yeah. Magic did work on the "pre-retirement" builds. I'm sure his work is as good as any generation of the pedal. But collectors are certainly going to price or pay more for the scarcity of the items produced under the "official" Dunwich umbrella.
It would certainly be worth sending Magic a note about production plans for another VT run before buying the one on Reverb. Obviously his production runs have a scarcity too.

I rearranged my smaller board after getting a new rack pre based off a traynor TS-120B, and am running a smallbox da120, wizard 125 into model fett and it kills everything in its path.
Man that sounds tasty. I’ve been contemplating the idea of trying out a model fett, how are you running it settings wise with the da120?
And one day I’ll get a hold of a small box wf
Tell us about this rack pre. There was a builder that did a couple like that and I was on a notification list for another run but I don't think he ever built any more. It's been so long I forgot the name of the builder and the rack pre.

The fett is great and I'm excited to put it back on my board for consistent use. I usually just max the mids on the fett and goose the bass to about 40% and treble at 50%. The da120 is more of the wild one. I have the most fun maxing the gain on it and then adding in drive to taste (about 50% right now). The fett tends to be the second lvl of dirt with the da120 being the 3rd, with various mixing; so much fun.
Its the zdora 1978. The traynor 120b is what the rusty box is based off. I enjoyed the rusty box for a little bit many years ago, but it was a touch shrill/mid rangy for me, but this 1978 delivers in spades.
