My other internal rule is to not make a big public bro-ha over issues. It never looks professional

I don't really want to fan the flames, but I think the two issues are very different. On one hand, I understand Dunwich wanting to warn people about price gouging if there are more of the pedals coming down the pipeline.
The Abominable case was someone complaining that a client would buy a pedal at a discount and resell it at fair market value. The Abominable guy went on a rant and then talked about blackballing that customers, etc, etc, etc.
There is a difference between looking out for your customers and berating your customers for doing something that is perfectly acceptable.
@monsterthompson
You are not helping my urge to also buy a Wizard Fuzz...
Typical example is analogmans' King of Tone. He brought in a waiting list, and you can only get one. A lot of people flip them immediately for a big price increase. What you gonna do?Things are worth what people will pay.
It is an interesting pedal. As @nshuman pointed out the thing is huge, but I think it it sort of an ode to the old Muffs that were in pretty big enclosures. The stark white with black print and black knobs is somehow impressive. It just looks cool. All that said, I love my Dunwich VT and ODB and opted to order the Wizard more out of love for the company than a desire for that specific product. I'm sure it'll be wonderful, and I'm curious how it works, and it's a bit of a collector's item for me, more so than a tool I need for a specific job.
I'm probably missing something in my skimming, but does anyone know what the power requirements/options are for the Wizard? I'm assuming typical 2.1mm Boss-style and center negative and probably 9v. Anyone know if there is an 18v option, ala the VT and ODB?

You can run it 18 but likely won't hear any change. Wasn't designed to utilize 18 V in the same way that other pedal to do
I approve of the recent general discussion happening in this thread
My Wizard Fuzz arrives tomorrow, and from the moment I saw the gut shot I've been seriously considering a rehouse. If I can do it without breaking any connections, it will be my next project.I resisted the last few times they were on sale.
My rationalization has been so far:
1- They are TOO big
2- I already have like 40 fuzz pedals
3- What I really wanted was the Cthulhu, VT, ODB
4- It's too big
5- Maybe I want one of his limited edition pedals at some point instead
The result is that I still ordered one
GET ONE!![]()
