I don’t know about the V2 artwork, not a fan, but I did ask Seth about the V1 artwork. He just said that he likes anime and it looks like the graphic on a T-shirt he used to have.

V1 art always reminds me of an old Hook-Ups graphic
Has anyone got experience of using a Parabellum into a Noble DI? Would that be Tube overkill or could the two play nicely together?
Please feel free to ignore if this is too off the Dunwich thread.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.I’ve had both, but not at the same time. I’m sure you could get some good sounds out of the pair, but I’m just guessing.

I’m running into a Noble DI and have an Olde Dirty Bass on the way, but I run a couple of boards and a desktop set up for home recording so I’m tempted by a Parabellum v2. It’s most likely I’d run it with the Noble for home recording but not if the end result would be less than the sum of the parts.
If you do I would be very keen to hear the results. I’ve not stacked tubes before but Hondo’s demo of the Parabellum has really got my attention.I suppose the closest attempt I could make now would be to run the Parabellum into the Edison I have. I might give that a shot just to give it a shot![]()
Well, too late now, I’ve just ordered one so I guess I can let people know when it makes it to the U.K.
Also, Parabellum v2s back in stock now.
Agreed. I’ll report back when it works its way here. Hondo’s review on YouTube made it look (and sound) fantastic. I don’t have Hondo’s skill, but even a fraction of the sound would be good.I think you’ll be glad you did![]()
I assume some of you here have a Dunwich DIY HM-2? I love mine, and have gone back to shooting out HM-2s again briefly. Got a question about mine. The high knob appears to do nothing. I can literally tell no difference between the maximum and minimum settings. I assume this isn't normal. I looked at the guts, but the pots are obscured by and directly soldered to the board. It all looked good to me, but again, I'm an amateur when it comes to soldering. Hoping that someone here could confirm that the high knob does indeed do something on their pedal. I'd love take it to a local tech and get repaired if necessary, as I also have an old Pharaoh Supreme that has a footswitch going intermittent. Thanks in advance.
I think Seth has set a new record for getting a pedal from the US to the UK (it’s been a good week for that actually).I’ll report back when it works its way here.
"Split" is empty. I assume that means my mids and highs are tied together on the mids knob? So whoever built mine added an extra knob that does nothing? Odd. Besides independent control of those two EQ points, is anything else gained by splitting the two? What needs to be done to actually split the two? I think I may want more high end. Thanks for the help, and anything else you may tell me.It does something on mine, yes, but ... you could put mids and high on one pot, so ... Could you check if the 2 pads between the high and mids pots, labelled "split" on the PCB are connected or left empty?

If SPLIT is empty, you should have the 3-band EQ, as I understand the schematic, but I could be wrong.
The Original had a 2-band EQ and the PCB just let's you build it it either way.
You could connect the two Split points with a bit of wire or something, just to see, if things change (and if I'm wrong).
To change the high end respone, you could play around with the values of R30 and C20 and C21, I think ... but again my knowledge is pretty limited, this is mostly just a guess, as all the EQ pots are connected (interactive).
I filled in "split", and there is MORE treble that way, but the highs knob still does nothing to change the tone... Which is weird, right? Also, I found out a strange little "bug" - if I hit the low B, it occasionally makes a short glitch noise. I had thought this was a problem with a bass at first, because I only heard it on the bass with questionable wiring, but now I've heard it with another bass too, so it's got to be the pedal. Anyway, looks like I need to have somebody dig around in this thing for me and solve some stuff. If SPLIT is empty, you should have the 3-band EQ, as I understand the schematic, but I could be wrong.
