I saw that...it lasted 1/2 a day. It is a QMF that Nick posted on his IG in Feb. I asked how is normies can go about getting QMF stuff without having to pay the scalper. If I am gonna pay $450 for something like that, Is want the money to go to Nick.

Just dropping in briefly to leave this here for the time being…

Minty DA120 125B

Looking to trade for a Broughton V2 Sunder Fuzz in bare metal enclosure.

Not after anything else at this time.

Thanks.

I can't believe this wasn't an instadeal for whoever has the sunder.

I hunted forever for one of those and even offered up my Sunray to swap for it.

While I get it that some things are priceless, you can get a sunder much easier than a small format DA120...not sure on the enclosure but you can probably get a raw aluminum one made up to look the same with the sunder guts from another pedal much easier than the little DA120

I've been trying to contact Magic over email and their own web chat system for weeks about my Wizard Fuzz order which I have a problem with, and no reply.

I even just now tried to sign up for IG with a secondary email account (as I didn't want to do it with my main one) just to be able to contact them but couldn't get it to work.

My honeymoon period with this company was short lived. If they actually go though with the damn transaction I'll likely be flipping it straight away, not interested in it any more.

Super frustrating. Forgive the rant. As you were.

I am surprised that you are surprised. If you follow this thread you know that the past few drops he did he made people wait for months. The super volt thrower I got, I waited about a year and a half for.

That said, if you REALLY need to talk to the man and don't care what he thinks of you going forward, then spam the heck out of his socials...hell see it. He checks it and posts on it including reposting tagged pics so he sees it.

If you want out of the transaction, nothing has been delivered...I don't see why you can't ask to bail and suggest that if the order isnt cancelled amicably that you will cancel through PayPal. Again...only if you don't care about future transactions as I imagine you wouldn't be allowed to order again if backing out on a preorder and especially if opening a claim w PayPal.

The one truth here is that although he checks his socials he doesn't seem to be on it all day everyday so give some time to let him reply before taking potentially regrettable actions.

I don't give AF what he thinks of me per se, as I know that whatever route I take would be proportionate, so his opinion of me isn't a motivator either way.

I just keep hoping that he'll do what a businessman I've paid money to should, which is respond to my polite and proportionate messages.

I know it’s none of our business, but out of curiosity what was wrong with the order?

I’m not trying to harsh any mellows here, no worries if you rather not say.

Just a personal situation that has arisen, nothing to do with the pedal itself or the order.

I explained it in more detail to Magic in my correspondence. 3 weeks now since my first contact with them.

I think if I were looking for alternatives for comparison, there's some similarity to the BSRI Ash Maker in terms of how the distortion sounds. It's not traditional tube breakup, and it isn't fuzzy distortion. It isn't really close to a Rat or an OCD. I think the crossover clipping helps keep the low end together.

Fair warning, I don't play in a live band and haven't cranked it in a mix, so take my feedback fro what it is worth as a noodling hobby level solo player with expensive taste.

How many Parabellum v2s are owned by members of the board here? And can we get a report? I'm looking forward to the next release.
V2 owner here and I agree that @monsterthompson summed it up well. It is dirtier all the way through the gain stages than I anticipated, which is welcome. I also second that it has OCD/distortion leanings for sure. I’ll add that the EQ is versatile and that it cuts through a loud band / live setting well, especially as you dial in the mids control.
