I know this really isn’t the thread but Gojira for the win.

In the spirit of keeping things on topic, the DA-120 is absolutely crushing. Thanks to @cosmicevan for the instruction manual.

If nobody has taken the plunge on @Matt Dean’s Parabellum v2 then absolutely give it a whirl. It’s up there with the Vulcan for me. It just makes me want to play.

I’ve been impressed with their pedals. I would have bought them based on the designs so them actually being good was a bonus.

Thanks! Sadly, I was already paying in pounds, so all of the US made good stuff is eye-watering. The last IE pedal arrived with $80 of taxes on top of the international shipping. Worth it but painful. Will it stop me trying to get a pedal in Magic’s next drop: almost certainly not.

Part of me wants to hang on to v1 as a collectible but v2 lives on my board. If one of us gets serious about it, then the rubber might hit the road

I still kick myself about passing up the v1....and then I look at my dirt collection and say it's ok...but I am still super curious

It is an odd-duck of a pedal in terms of dialing in sounds, and it has definite boundaries on the sweet spots. The v2 is way easier to tweak for most users and still gets you the same fundamental sound.

not really. it's a completely different circuit than a silicon fuzz face (or a germanium one).

I love the V1 Parabellum. It’s almost always on in my doomtronica band. And while it’s not as straight forward to dial in as V2, I found settings I like and pretty much set and forget.

I pulled the v1 out today for a bit. It has some good settings. I find that it benefits from having the Nordy Starlifter preamp (or probably any pre) ahead of it with my basses.

Yeah, I do the pre ahead of the Parabellum thing too. I use a BassRIG SV.

Anyone who's keen on dirt should try the Parabellum, imo. (Particularly, the v1 if you get a chance)

Has anyone tried the D.I.D. Hypercoven? ..I keep itching to try one. It’s based on a Dan Armstrong Green Ringer but I’m not sure how it handles lows. I found a short demo that sounds like it works well with bass, but only shows off the one setting:



...Btw, is anyone else curious about the upcoming release Nick was hinting at?
There was a post on Frost Giant's IG a few weeks ago saying that Eric and Nick were working on a 125b version of the AOR's green channel (a more bass-friendly version of that would be killer). Its probably unrelated but that’s another one to keep an eye out for
