Dunwich Amplification General Discussion

I'm not sure about it on bass but it sounds good on the guitar demos.
I'll find out how it is on bass. But, I'm doing knusprige Scheiße and psy-doom lead riffs on a bass guitar over looped bass riffs, I suspect I'll love it. And I love the art.

Besides, the guitar player I'm in a band with, is getting the OxEAE. So, I gotten keep up with the Jones's.

Have you ever tried the Kuro T120? I wonder how much the controls & tone differ

I haven't tried that one.

After more time with the DA120, the knob on the side seems to be a blend of the pedal's knob settings on top of the pedal's unaffected voicing, like stacking its EQ onto its EQ-bypassed tone. If volume and master's off, side knob fully CCW is silent, but fully CW is like everything's dimed even if all knobs are CCW. Switching the depth while side knob's fully CW doesn't change anything tone-wise. It's a trip!

I'm impressed… Rich. Thick. Complex, yet harmonized. Solid low end. Better low end than the Bluebeard, who's place it currently taking... HEAVY.

I'm gonna get my Matt Pike on!

Edit: I will say that this is not necessarily a bass guitar focused drive pedal like so many pedals we see on TB. However, IMO it works well for me on the bass guitar. But then, I don't play the bass guitar like most bass guitar players on TB (at least I think). I loop bass or synth lines, then I play crunchy riffs or solo leads with the pedals you see on my board - with a bass guitar. For me, I think the Baghdad will be a cool addition to my arsenal.

Edit 2: This might be one of Nick's best collaborations.

Baghdad looks and sounds amazing. I'll be sure to get one on the next drop. Love the red color way but I wouldn't mind having a green one to match my Giza.
Does the Volt Thrower get used with the Baghdad?

I ran the VT through Baghdad and it sounds pretty killer. Not over saturated… it actually made the Baghdad sound a little easier. IMO, the Baghdad plays well with everything. I love it though both my filters and also the delay.

One more thing… I just listened to the run through and I liked the Baghdad best on bass. I thought the Baghdad had more low end and more defined saturation.

How is it at low gain sounds? Can you get to borderline clean tones? I find I often run pedals in that region for more color and a bit of edge. I'm wondering if that's even an option.

I didn't take/have time to test for low gain, edge of break up. And I'm now about 1000 miles away from my board.
However, the Baghdad doesn't strike me as a drive pedal I'd choose for low gain applications. But, I'll test for that when I get back to NorCal.

That's certainly the impression I get but the demos haven't shown the range it has. I'm curious where the clipping starts.
Someone may beat me to it, but I'll do a 0-11 test and make some video; although I'm having knee surgery next Friday… So I don't know when I'll actually get to do that.
