DV Mark and MarkBass: MarkUp scam?

I spotted something in a Musician's Friend catalog the other day; Obviously DV Mark and MarkBass are the same Italian company, but aside from a different paint job, what in the world justifies their guitar compressor pedal being $100 more than their "bass" version?

With the same attack, release, ratio, gain, threshold, and impedance specs, I'd bet they're pretty much the same inside.

Are guitar players willing to spend more than bass players?
This would indicate so. The market is a lot larger for sure.

I did a big mistake by selling my markbass compressore so I was desperately in need of a new compressor. A store nearby had a DV Mark compressore on sale (150€) so I bought it and to my surprise it sounds exactly like markbass compressore... EXACTLY!!! Except for the color, these two pedals have the same electronics!
