Mo: yep - that'll be me an my bro joining Ade in Cotuit.
Matrok: No prob! I play a Lakland Glaub (as mentioned before) with the thinner Jazz-style neck. This goes straight into a Keeley 4-knob compressor, which then goes into an AMT Fatal Tube (picked out that West Siberian metal fuzz with Tony Levin in Moscow - I know I'm lucky), which goes into a Korg AX3000B (where I've made a couple kooky patches). This all goes into an Ampeg Classic SVT or SVT-4 (states rig) through the standard 8x10s. These amps are likely to become GKs in the future, as I may be working on something with them <fingers crossed>
Jimmy: no relation to Earl (or Grace for that matter). I'm just blessed with a cool last name... even if I am a huge klutz!

Thanks for all the interest, everybody!

Not that I'm tired of all of those Tal threads ;)

Well you're not a klutz on the bass, that's for sure. I've always dug Adrian's weirdness and you compliment it well. Uh...not that you're weird or anything...but you know what I mean :D

Always wanted to work with the guy, and now I've met two people through Talkbass who have...you and Bob Nyswonger from The Bears. I'm very happy for you, and you seem like a nice young gal and I really like what you do and I hope you have a great time and good things happening for you down the road.

As Julie might be reluctant to do too much self-promotion here, I'll point out for her (in case you didn't know) that there are two great live recordings available of the Power Trio in action. "Side Four," available at adrianbelew.net, is from 2007. Much more recent is "Live Overseas," which is available only in mp3-download format at iTunes and at Amazon. The set lists are very similar, but (as you would expect) the playing is very different in many ways. Online videos played through your computer speakers just don't do this stuff -- especially Julie's awesome tone -- justice!

haha... ooh that's embarrassing... i never change strings... unless i break them... but that hasn't happened on the Glaub - at least not yet.

but anyway, they are rounds.

Nothing wrong with that! A lot of us probably spend too much time thinking about strings, including me.

Having been to the shop numerous times, I'm pretty sure Lakland ships just about everything with steels (except the Hollowbody) unless the customer requests something else.

Hey Julie, I ordered the new cd today, did you all have a cd signing marathon fueled by a pizza & mountain dew or are you signing to order?

Thanks so much for the support! I actually haven't signed any yet... perhaps I can arrange a personal message...

But blech to Mountain Dew... I'll take a Crab Juice.
