Stumbled upon this used but I couldn’t seem to find anything on it. Thanks in advance for any insight!

Pics of the back would help if possible, or at least the speaker configuration. There are a number of iAmp combos out there with heads of differing wattages.

Can't say which ones had tuners built in either (like this one) but I'm sure someone much more qualified will chime in! @tombowlus perhaps.

I have a VL-208 and Wizzy 112M in storage that I haven't used in about a decade. However, my gear is stored in another state, and since we started RVing, we're seldom there.

If you still haven't found one after a looking for a while, holler at me and we'll see if we can come to an agreement.

As I recall, it takes a lot of power/has relatively low sensitivity; I had no problem pushing the pair loud enough for outdoor gigs with an iAmp800.

Came across this today, can you guys tell me what it is and how it works?

Pardon my naïveté, This is being sold as an amp but I didn’t see any knobs and since I’ve been on the hunt for EA cabs I wondered if this might be worth picking up.

Thanjs as always my friends!

IIRC, the iAmp 200 is a powered cab only. It's meant for your bass preamp or pedal chain to plug into, using the XLR input on the back. The XLR out can act as a chain to use other powered cabs or to use as a DI.

I can't put a value on it without some research, but I'd grab it if it seems reasonable. Great gear!

That is correct.

Would I be able to use Di out on an amp (Iamp micro 300) with this cab?

Seller is asking $300.

Thanks for the insight!

As Andy points out, that depends on the output level of the DI out. Another potential problem is if the DI out is not 'post fader' -- the output level is constant and not affected by the output level control of the amp -- then you won't have any control over how loud the extension cab amp is going to be. The input gain of this powered cab won't 'follow' the level changes you make at your amp. You might be able to use the effects/tuner out instead, but without an input level control, this powered cab is very much intended to be part of an integrated system and to be controlled by a separate, external preamp. I'd contact EA and try to find out what the expected input level is. It might work, but it isn't a sure thing.

I don’t think I can get ahold of EA so I guess we’ll see. I have an Aguilar preamp I could run it with if all else fails. I suppose I could look at picking up a Noble DI as well.

I think that Jon Dong and Gary Gibilisco might still have a presence here on TB? Might help to search their names here.
