I would think (depending on you tone goals) that the Pro would work really well with any Bergantino cabinet that is tighter in the low end response (pretty much any of the current line except the ER's) -- I'd include the original HT112 and EX112 as well on the good match-up side.
Of course that's just pure speculation based on second-hand descriptions of the products.
So, take that with a boatload of grains of salt (but I bet I'm right)!

I've owned the EAiamp800, which had an extended low range.
If the amps got it and the cabs got it too then that's what you'll hear. You might like it, you might not.
+1 I just hated the iAmp800 (which I assume is voiced similarly to the Pro) with my Epi 410UL, which is big, wide, and polite, just like the iAmp. However, with a cab with a tighter low end, and a little more character in the mids (Bergantino AE line, Schroeder BMF, EA NL210), it sounded pretty nice. However, even though that super low set hi pass filter, allowing all that deep, deep low end to come through, seems like a cool idea, IMO, it is not.
What about trying along with one of the original CXL-112 cabinets... I imagine that would be a good combination!

I have found that the Doubler (which doesn't have that ultra low extension) pairs up nicely with the berg HT212, which DOES have some low end extension. They compliment each other in that sense, and this is exactly the kind of compliment that I've found pleasing when pairing heads and cabs.
Of course, the EQ knobs help to dial down too much low end. If that doesn't help I have TBer Fdecks hi pass filter that cuts down the boom.
The iAmp Pro through a Bergantino AE410 or my old Schroeder 15L+ (two of them stacked) rig sounded incredible. The low end extension and politeness of that amp is pretty insane, but when you pair it with a mid-forward cab that has that upper-woofer/lower-tweeter grind it sounds pretty fantastic.
IMHO, it seems that the deep switch on the iAMPs was designed for the CXL-112. I could be wrong, but it seems to really work well with that cab but doesn't seem to work that well with any other cab I have tried it with.
Yeah... I can fairly easily make my CXL-112 fart out with my iAmp350 without using the deep switch. The cabinet is pretty honkey and not all that "deep" itself... which would lend itself to less boomy-sounding "interpretation" of the newer amps...
I just plugged my iAmp350 in today after not using it for about a year... it appears to have developed a static issue in the pre-amp board.. looks like if you wiggle the push-buttons it goes a little crazy... then calms down for a bit. This is the third iAmp head I've had over the years too... first one blew its input chip (a known problem) and second one went microphonic...
Too bad too, otherwise it's a pretty great sounding rig...
Wow, I just read all 12 pages of this thread. I am auditioning the Pro into an Epi UL310 with an Azola Bug Bass---and I have to say that, for salsa, the setup is killer. The lows on the EA are huge and focused and the UL310 knows just what to do with them!!
I've tried to get these lows out of alot of different combos---some were too boomy---some were too muddy---some where too boxy. These are pure and pleasant lows.
I don't know if this setup would be ideal for everything, but for my current projects, it is pretty much spot on.
I also tried the Pro into the NL410, and that rig is intense. For me, though, I liked the Epifani cab just a little more.

Is that by any chance a Series I UL310?
My UL310 is a very early series II. A UL610 was on my GAS list for a long time, but I just never had a chance to check them out.
Very cool! That's pretty far off the mark for me, I prefer a slightly low attenuated cab with the Pro to make it work.
I can totally see how you can get a dub type sound with that baby bass and the rig, I bet it is massive...that rig would probably work really well with a P bass with flats also..
I played my P (with rounds) through the rig, and, with the eq flat, it reminded me of Paul Jackson's tone on Flood. One of my favorite P tones of all time.
Exchanged some emails with John at EA. Looks like they are working on the WZ-210 and WZ-410, and he said if they can source speakers that meet their specs and standards they will continue the NL series. Wait and see I guess.....

just my 2 cents....I'm using the Iamp pro with an Epifani T-215UL and the sound is insane....I couldn't be happier with the amount of low end this thing can crank out, yet it never loses articulation in the higher register. I LOVE the contours, and the deep switch is NUTS....it instantly makes you sound like you're playing through 9 18" speakers haha....and the headroom is quite impressive....this head is really something....thanks Pete!
