So, EA is doing another run of these that are shipping next week... Has anyone heard or used them? Any audio/videos out there of them in action?? I'm planning on ordering a couple of these based on specs alone, but I'm having a hard time even finding a written review of them, never mind audio samples.
Anybody got some thoughts or feedback on them??

I am sure the NL112 will sound awesome! The only concern I would have is if they will be supported down the road. I get the impression that EA does not support many of the awesome speaker designs that have put out in the past...I.E. blow a driver and you can't get an OEM replacement even though eminence has the designs specs on file.

To be fair, this is a problem with many companies, but perhaps a bit surprising with a company that puts out such quality gear. All the EA gear I have heard has been outstanding, but they do seem to revise their speaker designs frequently, which exacerbates the problem.

Hmmm... Noted. Have you heard of any horror stories?? See, that's the thing... I can't find any reviews!?! (Except maybe Gollihur...)

Through the years I have come across several threads where people could not get replacement drivers for various EA cabs. I think there has been a few efforts to organize group buys.

The only EA cab I have actually heard is the latest version of the NL210 and it was awesome. I am a big fan of full range, flat response speakers that are relatively light weight. Pretty sure the NL-112 fits the bill.

I bought a pair back in October and I couldn't be happier. I power them with a Mesa 800+ or an Acoustic Image Coda+, and I is on par with an 8x10. I still wish they'd do another run of 2x10s, but it seems like they're not concerned about demand. If I end up having any issues with repairs or replacement issues, I'll worry about it then. If there's any issues, believe me, I'll make it known to all. ;)

I primarily use 5 strings, and these cabs sound great. I power them with a Mesa WD800, and set the HPF to the cabs (42hz) just so I don't have to think about it. They punch better than any other 12s I've ever tried.

A bit late to the party, here, but I am really loving my pair of NL-112's. Has anyone sent in the measurements for padded cab covers from any of the quality manufacturers? If so, which company? If not, I guess I will measure them up and order something.

Because EA historically has changed the designs on their products more often than most manufacturers, and because they have a lot of legacy products that were produced for a short time, I suppose there is a risk of not being able to get replacement parts down the road.

That said, I have a VL-210 that blew a driver about 15 years after it came off the line. At the time EA had a few left that were exact replacements - I may have even obtained the very last one. John Dong was extremely helpful and charged me almost nothing for it. I still have the cab (rare 4-ohm version) and I am being careful not to push it too hard so I don't have to hunt down replacement drivers that may change the sound.

I wouldn't expect a manufacturer to have replacement parts in stock for a product they haven't produced for a long time, but I would expect them to be able to direct you to an equivalent that is available elsewhere. The upside is that EA stuff is built well with quality parts, so the likelihood of something failing is probably far less than with most bass gear.

Is the NL-112 a transmission line cabinet? The EA website apparently still has incorrect info on both the NL-112 and the Wizzy M-Line. The M-Line definitely is transmission line, but the NL-112 appears to have a standard bottom slot port. I exchanged email with John at EA some years ago about this but don't remember his response.

I have just now emailed John Dong at EA to re-ask my transmission line question, also to inquire about ordering EA cabs- what is the best way to get one, and what the lead time would be. I'll post his response here.
