Just ordered one... rarely do I do this, but I've wanted one of these for a long time. Always loved my plumes and got what it was-- it just didn't have enough low end.

Yep. Mode 2 is great as a cleanish boost.

This is my favorite use for Plumes: a boost w/ gain that I feed into other pedals, or run as always on. It is 'cleanish' in that it seems to strip out some low end, but I feel like it makes for a more articulated attack. I also use a line splitter to put some cleanish dry signal back into the mix.

I am not planning on getting the Blumes, but it's tempting since it's fairly inexpensive.

The demos sound great. I was hoping that someone would drop some different colors. The yellow and green combo just clashes for me personally. Obviously low on the importance scale though.

Looks like it’s probably comparable but it’s also more than twice the price! And with the side jacks it’ll take up about the same space side to side.

Looks like the Ziffer gives you a lot of room to dial things in. Like the Plumes, I'm guessing that you either like the Blumes or you don't. You can get a lot of sounds out of the Plumes, but there is an inherent mid-boosty thing that you either like or not.

Got my Blumes! Serial #666!!
Upon playing it, initial impressions are good! I would definitely say fans of the Plumes will really like it and if you didn’t dig the Plumes, it’s much of the same just with more low end and more gain, so if you’re not a fan of tube screamers, it’s still a tube screamer! Playing through it with my L2500 the B string is big and burly with heft and hair on it, doesn’t sound thin nor muddy.

Allegedly getting mine today... pulled out my plumes for a session on saturday, so that it will be front of mind. Still love the way that it cuts through, but it loses too much low end presence.

Got it and it sounds great. Putting my tall font Russian in front of it gives a nice and warm boosted tone. I’ll have to play it with a band to get the full effect.

I wonder how often this is going to happen with EQD having two pedals whose name is only one letter apart. I ordered two Blumes and received a Blumes and a Plumes!

I was super disappointed, as I was ready to try these out stacked. Then I fired up the Blumes and was SO stoked. The center position as a slightly dirty, always on tone was the tone I hear in my head.

I'll play around stacking these once the Plumes is returned. I didn't want to hold up rehearsal, but this is an incredible pedal!

$99 makes it a steal and it is what I always wanted out of the Plumes I briefly had. If you are on the fence, it is well worth it, just cross your fingers that your retailer has good vision.
