Wanted to give a heads up in case any of you want to get high.

I mean in a musical sense.
I have toyed with the idea of relinquishing possession of a 6-string EBMM Silhouette Bass.
It's set up in A to A baritone currently, but if you don't get high (sorry), it can also be set up in regular bass range E to E.
Just wanted to give notice to local folks.
Mine looks identical to the one pictured here on the specs page.
Silhouette Bass Guitar (actually, mine is prettier and shinier)
I'm in the Maryville/Alcoa/Knoxville area.
(You know what, I also have a 5-string Hamer Cruise Bass with a 2Tek bridge. I think I'll relinquish possession of it too!)

I speak for myself, but suspect that it's shared a benefit of this regional group that we have opportunities to discuss sales opportunities like this. For that, I'd say no apology necessary, and thanks for the heads up! Simply put, I'd rather deal with a known TB-er than any random craigslister.
Having said that, you're going to get bonked by the mods if you post a pseudo-sale ad anywhere and you're not a supporting member. You've been around awhile--I suspect you probably know this.
And anyway, I'd hate to see an E.TN brother get bonked.

If you want warranty service, check in with Recycled Sound, in Greeneville. They have a backlog, though..
I may be moving to Knoxville soon, and could use some advice... I'm a decent player, 41 (look early/mid 30's I'm told), have good gear, building my backing vocals. (I suppose I may need to start working on country chops?)

My wife and I moved to central KY five years ago from Seattle. Love this area. We visited Knoxville last summer. It's our new favorite Tennessee town. We hated (really hated) Memphis. It's a Detroit thing.

We don't play Knoxville much, so there are others that can advise better, but you can see a lot of local stuff right on Market Square. Preservation Pub has a stage or two (we played upstairs for tips a few years back) and they book a lot of local acts. Suggestion: Check out the calendar at Preservation Pub and stalk those bands on Facebook to get an idea where the locals perform.
I find knoxville musicians - craigslist fairly saturated with bass players looking and not too many gig opportunities.

It's a good area with good people. And Chattanooga, Maryville, Asheville, Bristol, Lexington, and Johnson City are only a couple hours or less away. There are opportunities, it just takes research and diligence.
Well, and a band. That doesn't get solved by a two hour drive.
But the quality of life is pretty killer up here. Where are you coming from?

There's a very lively local scene that runs the gamut (not much country actually). the Preservation Pub is a hub of local music and musicians, so that was def a good suggestion. Depends on your interests how to answer more. Are you looking for regular income? Just want to play originals? Worship music? Tour?
I am finally getting my feet wet, in the Knoxville scene. Mostly networking, at the moment, for my repair and lutherie business. I have been introduced and jammed with a few very cool people. If anyone needs any repairs or modifications...no matter what you might need, shoot me a message!
Hey guys!! I just wanted to brag on Thumpin_P (Paul). Not only is he a great guy, he is a killer luthier as well. I have gotten him to do some work for me recently and could not be more pleased.
He did a refretting job on my prize possession, my 1972 Fender P bass, along with some setups, nut replacement, electrical type stuff including output jack replacement.
I just wanted to let everybody know that he is a great luthier and you can trust him to do a great job at a great and fair price. If you have any work needed done, or want a custom made instrument, check out Paul. You wont regret it.
