East Tennessee Talkbass

Hey guys!! I just wanted to brag on Thumpin_P (Paul). Not only is he a great guy, he is a killer luthier as well. I have gotten him to do some work for me recently and could not be more pleased.
He did a refretting job on my prize possession, my 1972 Fender P bass, along with some setups, nut replacement, electrical type stuff including output jack replacement.
I just wanted to let everybody know that he is a great luthier and you can trust him to do a great job at a great and fair price. If you have any work needed done, or want a custom made instrument, check out Paul. You wont regret it.
Barry

Barry,
Your kind words humble me. I simply love bass, and the beauty of all elements coming together. If I had the money, I would build basses all day, every day. If I can get someone either on track, or back on track, to living the same love that I do, then it makes me feel ALMOST as good as that moment when the groove is locked in, and the audience is diggin. the vibe. I am just thankful that I happen to be good at what I do.

As we had discussed, whenever you have your next ones ready, just give me a shout. I still have that re-wire for @iamoldschool
And I guess I owe you a discount, for the shameless promotion, my friend...

You sound like me Mike. I have 2 Warwicks and have had almost 20 or so of them. But I am always looking for more.

So, I take it that means none of your Warwicks are for sale? I have a Corvette Std 4 that ousted my Ric after 24 years as my go-to bass. I also have a 'Vette Std fretless and a Streamer Std 5. I never play the 5 and would love to get rid of it and replace it with a Streamer 4.

Right. Neither Warwick I have now is for sale. I do have a Warwick 4 space Rockbag, but that's it for sale. Actually I plan on getting another Warwick 5 string when I get some cash from the gear I am selling.
Warwicks are my basses if choice for sure. I cant get enough of them!!

By the way, if anybody happened to be interested, I have a ton of gear up for sale.I really dont want to ship the stuff so I figured I would let you guys know, in hopes of selling it locally.
If you are interested, send me a PM and I will make you a list.
If anyone is on the fence, please let me assure you, Barry takes very good care of his equipment. I have worked on a few of his basses, and they were all very clean, and in good condition. I am guessing that the rest of his equipment follow suit. You can take it for what it's worth, but, I wish I had the money, to buy Barry's gear. Send a PM...see if there is something that you might want or need...you won't regret it..I promise

Gotta work to buy gear!!!

Exactly!!! I have to sell gear or trade gear to get anything new to try out. Man, it sure would be sweet to be able to keep stuff and not have.to get rid of anything. Friends could come over and try out anything anytime. I would have my choice of gear anytime. Man oh man that is just a dream for sure. :D:D:D:D
