I think I saw it was rescheduled due to weather.

Michael, as promised here's the other Peavey Fury. The pickguard is not standard and I changed to lighter weight keys like I did with the red one.

Burger was soggy, we rescheduled.

I have quite a few Pal's stories, but my favorite goes way back to the early-mid 70s.

I was a young lad living in Lynn Garden, TN. This was back in the day where everybody let their kids leave in the morning and go anywhere as long as they were back home for supper.

I had two paper routes that took up most of my morning, one of them went right by the Pal's on Lynn Garden Drive.

I had a 3 speed silver Columbia with wire saddle bags for the papers. I could do each route with one load, except of course for Sundays when it took several trips to the pallet they dropped off for me at each route. I got really good with tie offs and straps at an early age!

One morning I got finished with the route and decided to stop at Pal's. This was long before they had breakfast, they opened at lunch. I don't remember what the exact time was, but of course they were closed. I saw an older lady work her key in the side door and slip inside. I went to the door and knocked. When she answered, I asked her what time they opened, I was hungry!

She told me "sweetie, we're not open, but if you tell me what you want, I'll make it for you right now".

After a short wait, I had my sauceburger with cheese and large frenchie fry.

It didn't seem remarkable to me in that moment, but looking backwards, it was an astounding moment of kindness from that lady to a less than sophisticated little boy. I'll never forget the kindness, or the bar it set for customer service interaction in my adult life.

Hey guys I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that my bands kickstarter campaign to have our upcoming album pressed to vinyl is ending this Tuesday (the 11th). So any help that we can get with this, even if it's a share on your socials, would be really appreciated.
FY I added my custom bass as a reward. It's an MIA Fender P bass body (late 90's I believe) with an Adam Clayton jazz neck. It has Fender custom shop pups, dunlop straplocks, a hipshot and it's been painted lake placid blue. It also comes with a hard case and 4......count'em 4 pickguards!!!

Hey all, I’m gonna have to move some gear to free up funds to finish paying for a bass Carl Pedigo is building for me. Last piece in will be first to go. So, it’s the best darn amp on the planet, an Aguilar DB751 with factory hard case. All together, this could cost over 3k new. I am going to list it in a bit on TB and elsewhere for $1700. I’d prefer to sell locally, and would be more flexible on price. If anyone here is interested, message me.

I have used it once and had my other rig going as well. I had the Aggie turned down so low and powering your Berg cab.... I couldn’t really tell just how awesome it was. I’m glad cause I’m not hooked on it. It will make it easier on me to let it go. It was a bucket list amp. But, my Carlo means more.

The summer is passing fast, as it always does.

We had a good run of the show in Dandridge earlier this month. A fair amount of drama but nothing worth reporting here, I think it went well overall.

Are some of you guys staying busy playing marinas and lakes and the usual summer fare?

We haven't talked this up since June.. Can we all do this in mid-August? Is that a good time frame?

The summer is passing fast, as it always does.

We had a good run of the show in Dandridge earlier this month. A fair amount of drama but nothing worth reporting here, I think it went well overall.

Are some of you guys staying busy playing marinas and lakes and the usual summer fare?

I’ve been blessed! I’m playing as much as I want to, about 2-3 times a month. And, I just got asked to jump in an originals band that’s fairly popular, to play at least one show while their bassist’s broke wrist/arm heals.

Regular summertime gig. This was at Murf's Gearbox in Winfield TN on Saturday. Clint Keeton Band all set up and ready to go when the storm hit. We had an hour to move stuff around under the roof while the wind whipped rain in sideways. Luckily, nothing ruined, we started an hour late and the crowd slowly picked up toward the end of the night.

Yikes, Jeff! Glad Clint and Co. got through that weather okay and that the show went on. This has been the worst summer weather in east Tennessee that I can remember since I've lived here. It's definitely cut into my pool time!

I had to look up Winfield! Last town before Kentucky on 127. Clint Keeton books 'em out there!

I was approached to play a production of Godspell for Foothill Community Players, but I'm not going to be able to do it. Is anyone interested in playing this production? Message me and I'll send you contact information for the music director. I'd love to be able to recommend one of us ETTBers.

It will be the last week of July, going into August, a one-week commitment between tech rehearsals and performance weekend. All rehearsals and performances will be at Maryville High School's auditorium.

This is the 3rd consecutive year of playing with a visiting worship team at Eagle Rock in Tallassee TN (near Abram's Creek). This group contacted me originally through CL, needing a bass player for a week 3 years ago. At the end of the week, I told them to contact me if their bass player couldn't make it next year. They said, "we've found our bass player" lol......

Gorgeous inside and outside. Fun trivia fact, my wife and I got married there may years ago, and my daughter got married there. Check it out sometime if you can, absolutely God's country.

Look at that rig! Jeff is one of the last old timers with a good back, it seems. I was just at Home Depot the other day drooling over a $170 dolly, cause I’m fed up with being the main loader/unloader/carrier/setter-upper of my band’s PA. The mains, powered subs, and even the old Peavey CS-3000 power amp all weigh a lot and it’s taking a toll on my knees and back. So, needless to say, I try to keep my bass rig on the small side: two 1x12s. But, they’re not Neos and don’t have the smallest dimensions that I’ve seen. I remember the Epifani Neo 1x12s I tried for a minute. They were small boxes that seemed to weigh practically nothing. To me, they sounded as puny as their weight.

Yeah, that is indeed called bringing it! Jeff has certainly taken the Eagle Rock camp event seriously for three years now, and they are so fortunate to have him willing to do what he does each summer to make this happen. If I had a chance to play a similar conference event, I would.

Jody, I'm with you on lighter smaller gear. My back could tote the PJB that Jeff does, but I'm pretty happy doing the small Acme/Quilter/Genz-Benz amp gear I have. It covers what I do, but boy, you know those Eagle Rock campers love the sound of the PJB gear, even if Jeff doesn't get to crank it! You and I have both heard that stack.. oohf!

Guys, these Eagle Rock campers are kids from a church in Ohio and a church in Florida. They rock out to (I don't know what to call it, screamo worship?)

My Fender 300 PRO is normally set to "3" at outdoors marina gigs. This week, it's been at "6" on both input channels and the master volume! My tinnitus is flaring as I type this. They wanted me louder, but I shook my head.

Jody, I have a couple of suggestions for hand carts. I've bought this one twice and let the bands keep them when I left. Big air filled tires, so it's good on gravel.

This one is a keeper, it doesn't do very hot on gravel, but it's perfect for marina gigs, very versatile and built like a tank.
