East Tennessee Talkbass

ET TB folks - who do you trust in the Knoxville area to do work on your bass guitar? I have a truss rod problem with one of mine and I'd like a professional to take a look.
Our very own @Thumpin_P Paul has worked on just about every bass I have ever owned (and that's a lot lol). He has extensive knowledge of instruments, and is a builder himself. You can't go wrong with Paul. I am sure others here can testify to the same fact as well.

If Maryville is any closer, you could try Donnie Barbra. He ran Murlin's in the '80s and '90s (when I used to teach there as a teenager) and does all the repairs for Steve Kaufman's Flatpik camp at Maryville College. He is really good and has been repairing my stuff as far back as '86!

East TN players. I have some nice gear listed in the classifieds. Of course there is a nice discount for local sales without shipping. Thanks for looking....

For Sale - Bergantino HG310 3x10 Cabinet (B/Amp, too.)
Listing removed from the ads, but still available locally. Both a Bergantino HG310 cabinet and a B/Amp.

I also ended up with two Lakland USA Bob Glaub P-basses. So, I have a very nice olympic white one from the 2008 Dan Lakin era that is available locally. Very nice playing instrument.

For Sale - Sadowsky MetroExpress MV4E, 7.56 pounds, Mint (SOLD)

If anyone's looking for gear locally, Bill (projectapollo) is the best!

Bill, I use that Mono gig bag I bought from you a while back just about every week. I have several basses that didn't come with a bag or case or that I built myself, so it gets used for any of those.

I’ve heard good things about Bryan Parris.

I have been doing all my own work over the last year and a half. But, some things I can’t practice on my own gear, and therefore won’t attempt on someone else’s.
I used Bryan’s services once. To route a second battery compartment in my 44-01. He did a good job.

First gig of the new year! My jazz combo, the B Sharps, is booked for an event at the General Morgan Inn in Greeneville in a couple weeks. We had to reach back a couple of decades to align our setlist with the theme - "Downton Abbey Day." I'm a fan of the show and most of us still have the outfits we assembled for various roaring 20's parties on NYE, so I'm looking forward to it.

As an aside, I've decided to focus on electric this year - so this will be my last upright gig for a while. Looking forward to both the gig and to hanging up the doghouse immediately thereafter. :)

What are y'all doing this month?

Hey bass brethren!!!! Hope everyone is well. I finally got a better list together of all the stuff I am selling. Here it is. There are no prices yet, as I haven't had time to do that. But needless to say, if I could sell stuff locally I could make any of you guys a good deal on any of the gear. Hit me up if you might be interested in anything. I can send pics and info and whatever else. Thanks for looking!!!!
