Hey guys. I stumbled across this thread and was giddy,giddy I say! Can I be the token old guy?
I'm in Kingsport. I have recently returned to the land of the bottom dwellers after a 7 year hiatus. Still buying gear and basses for mere mortals. I pine for my old Tobias.
The wife and I will try and get out to support some of the local bands. Look forward to meeting everyone.

I'll see what I can do. Mrs Zoomie is headed down to Florida for a week of vacation. She said she is going down to visit her best friend. She's probably going to down to rub up on Raul The Cabana Boy.
Either way, I win because I get to eat lots of bacon and put my feet on the coffee table.
It will be a blast. A 45 minute slot before the fights, then ringside seats for 12 fights. If all goes well, we will be doing a mini tour of the southern states this summer with these guys.
There is no way I could get in the ring and fight like that. I would get mad and then start making mistakes. That would lead to a but whipping. I have found, as I grow older, my allergic reaction to pain takes longer to get over.

It appears that someone found the bass through a relative or friend, looked around on the internet and are under the impression that they found an original and mint 61 in a custom color. Inferring that the bass is worth up to 20K refinned is insane. A
To me, if all or most everything is there, this would be a buy at 2K. And it would forever be a player. Still, you never know, someone may have too much money burning a hole their pocket.
I'm curious more than anything else. Not like they show up here more than once every year or two. This ain't Nashville!

I'm right there with you on the out of shape thing. I'm 43, just quit smoking 15 months ago. 25 years of that bad habit can take its' toll. I ran with my son at his cross country practice the other day. That was an eye opener.
Anyone coming to the GTG is welcome to play my 66 refinished P. I'll even entertain offers, but I warn you ahead of time the black spray on truck bed liner finish was added two years ago by the paint department manager here at the plant, so I consider it an expensive add on
