East Tennessee Talkbass

Okay, we are settled on the date, March 18th, and the time. Here is the preliminary itinerary:

Load in: 2 pm
Event start: 2:30 pm
Close and load out ???? (depends on attendance)

Clinking of glasses and meal at Smoky Mountain Brewery afterwards.

Suggestions? Thoughts?

Address of GTG is:

1220 Brown School Rd.
Maryville, TN 37804

Many thanks to River Oaks Community Church for allowing us the floor space, electricity, PA and whatever else we need during our GTG!

One week away! Mark your calendars, it's going to be a great time!

BTW, spouses or significant others are welcome, I'm trying to convince my wife to come and play "hostess". Anyone who would like to show up early and catch the worship service is welcome as well, we start at 10:30. There is another group using the building after church, but we have it starting at 2 pm for load in, and the event starts at 2:30. PM me for my phone number in case you need last minute directions.

Rollerberg, perhaps it would be good of us to take up a strictly voluntary collection of a few bucks to donate to the church? They were kind enough to offer the space. Maybe it will help when we ask the next time, and I am praying that there will be a next time.

I won't be able to attend but will be more than willing to make a donation. A small way to thank the church anyway.

PM me your paypal addy and I'll hook a brother up.

Wow, that is a very generous gesture! This GTG will not cost anything other than time setting up and tearing down and any cleaning (if necessary). I'm happy to provide it, and the church is very happy to sponsor the space, so we are good there.

If we have a good turnout, and want to do something bigger next year, there might be an admission charge if we can draw some sponsors or speakers or both.

Sorry you can't make this one, but there will be next year!

Thanks,
Jeff

As of now, I am there. Cant wait! Im bringing my RV (road van) packed to the gills with some semi-semi-exotic to common as dirt stuff for ppl to try out.

Do i REALLY need to bring a full 1975 SVT RIG? I will if no one has ever played thru the ultimate beast but............you know. It's BIG............

Some of my stuff is possibly for sale, some is definately for sale! (necks, pups, hardware, etc.)

Im also always in the market for stuff from speakers to necks to pups to everything in between. I am LEFT HANDED so lefty bodies, necks, etc are treasure... but I play backwards so righty necks are cool too. Im currently looking for 2 8ohm 15inch spkrs, 2 12 inch speakers, 2 18inch speakers, an Eden d410T cab, tc electronics 210 or 212. Also, last but not least, 8 32ohm 10's to load an SVT cab.

I hope Im not breaking any rules or laws here about buying/selling/trading. Especially in a church. Im coming with an open heart/mind and good intentions. I myself play at church (as well as nite clubs) and respect the sanctuary.

Cant wait to meet you guys/gals face to face!

If I can get permission from Mrs. nutdog, would it be OK for someone just south of the border to crash your party?

I live in Dalton, but I've gigged recently in Chattanooga, Jasper and Dunlap.

Everyone is welcome, as mentioned before I've crashed a few GTG way outside my area. The more the merrier!

No rule breaking at all, this is a TB function. Buy sell trade thats what normally happens at these functions.

I Shouldn't have to mention it, but everyone be respectful, it is church property, so leave the satanic church handouts at home, non alcoholic drinks are welcome if you have no spill containers.

For those like minded, we plan on meeting afterwards at the Smoky Mountain Brewery for adult beverages!

I hope you guys have fun at the GTG! I really wish I could meet you guys for some bass and brews, but I guess it'll have to wait til next year :)
