If I ever get another stable band together, y'all are welcome to come here my two Ashdowns.

Jeff's PJB stuff is amazing! I've been trying to go smaller and lighter since selling my two Berg fridges (NV425 and NV215) a while back. My goal is to be able to transport my two rigs, pedalboard and 2 basses in a small car if needed.

The body was an ebay find. 62 RI, and, the neck is a Warmoth. I didn't have to do any tweaking to the fit. The only real tweaking was in the bridge, and, that didn't take 15 minutes. Really, a dream assembly. I did make sure to buy the right pickguard, though. I was kinda picky about it being for a 62 RI.

Jody, is Radio Rehab not going anymore? I assume not, by your quote above, and also I looked at the RR Facebook page and saw it's not been updated since the Lincoln's gig last year (that Jeff and Mike and I came to.)

Regarding the small car rig: It's too bad that Genz-Benz is in limbo at present. The Shuttle 6.2/12T stack is terrific and very compact. It would definitely fit in a small car and would work well for you. It wouldn't wreak the mayhem like the Rollerberg skyscrapers, but would still be plenty loud for a club setting like RR in Lincoln's, and equivalent bands and gigs.

Here's to FMIC relaunching the Genz lines in 2014. Hope, we can do. Those products are too good to just go away.

Edit: Re-reading this post, I like that phrase above. Someone here needs to name their next band "Wreak the Mayhem."

Jeff's PJB rig and Dingwall really produce a sound that must be heard! His playing helps of course... he's great! So deep and clear... I'm at a loss trying to describe it! I think he said he uses a .165 B string. All I know is you can FEEL it!

I was noodling around playing "overhanded" on a slow song that always bored me, so it appears to the casual observer I'm doing something very fancy, but it's like playing keyboard on the fretboard.

I could sense someone close to the stage, but with my hat brim I couldn't see who it was. When the song tapered off to a bass rest, I looked up and Jody punched me and called me a big showoff!

Boy was I red faced, I was thinking BUSTED caught POSING! Jody's a great guy, I tried to get him to sit in on a few, but he said he was wiped from working, so I gave him a pass this time lol. I'm slowly trying to pull him back over the fence to the fanned fret side, he's wavering.....

For those Dingheads interested, my Z2 was set up with the following:

Circle K Balanced Set:

B = .157
E = .112
A = .082
D = .061
G = .045

That's as big as I can go without slotting the nut, and I'm not messing with that. Tension is nice and tight, focused, action is real low so I'm only using grams psi instead of lbs. psi to fret a note. The tension is not too tight to get some decent tremelo action either. Actually, I should stop that crap, I'm only wearing the frets out faster doing that, and no one but Sheldon will be trusted with refretting this baby.

Hey guys, we need some help.

MODS, IF THIS IS INAPPROPRIATE FOR THIS THREAD, PLEASE DELETE.

Our church is looking for another bass player. Since our WL asked me to poke around a bit, I wanted to start here first.

Let's take out the tire kickers quickly.

1) This is a volunteer position aka no cheese. :D

2) This is not a rock gig. There are no pyrotechnics, knee slides, fist fights, people throwing up on your bass, people spilling beer on your bass, or people asking your bass for its phone number.

3) This is a God first situation. By this I mean that this is about God, not a gig in a conventional sense. Because of this, we'd prefer someone that is looking for a church or is maybe at a place in life where they want to check it out.

Zoomie, hope you are referring to picking up an additional bassist and not a replacement unless God is leading you elsewhere. A lot of churches are just blessed with many musicians who obviously want to contribute and help lead worship with their gifts, so everyone gets a turn. Regardless, I,'ll be praying someone comes forward, maybe even from the forum here!
