It's percussion, so...see drums. And that's a triangle performance I'd like to see...

For double bass can we just add violin and cello together?
I just meant the calories on the chart but cool, I did not know that.No a double bass is TWO cellos. The original name for the cello in france after it evolved from violon (little big violin in italian) and the viol de gamba, was bassette. Little bass. One of the explanations I've heard for calling the really big bass (developed in Beethoven's time IIRC) a "double" bass was that it was 2x as big as a 'cello. The other is that it doubled the bass part in SATB four part compositions.

Obviously whoever put that chart together hasn't seen the bassist from Reg Kehoe and his Marimba Queens:
Dammit, man, get a real chart, unless, of course, ours was on page two totally devoted to the bass
I burn enough calories during the day busting my ass.
Playing my bass in comforting.
Hot cup of coffee, leaning back on my couch, picking away..... Ahhhhh
I play just like the maracas player.Love that video.
I play just like that guy!
But, without the rhythm and intonation.![]()
Where was tuba in a marching band on that chart?
I must set up straight...
"The double-bass is a monster and playing it is a labour fit for a horse" as someone supposedly wrote in a book in 1713.
And, well... I guess it does take a lot of movement.
