Ebay Bongo. Real or Fake?

There are pics of a real one in the listing now. I was wondering why you were all saying it was a fake until I saw the pictures further down the thread. Scumbag is really trying to rip someone off.

I told him it was a fake and got this back:

I appreciate your input but I bought it and it is custom made to my specifications. Literally the body and every single aspect about the bass was made to my request. So in kindness, you sir are wrong. I bought it straight from the warehouse. So if you think it's a fraud just go to the next listing please don't insult me.

He's as dumb as he is stupid.
Yeah, and now he's trying to save himself.

i saw a blue one when i check the listing

I finally figured out what folks are talking about now when they say they see a legit Bongo when clicking the link.

The auction was pulled. Deleted. Banned. So now when you click the link, Ebay takes you to a search page that brings up 'Music Man Bongo' for you since the original is gone, and that's what you're seeing now.

The fake one didn't even HAVE a nut. At all. Custom hilarity. ;)
That's what I thought too upon first looking at it, but there does seem to be a very narrow nut made from the same wood as the fingerboard, if I am seeing it correctly.

So, we'll give the forgerer of that bass .000000002 points for including a nut with the bass. :smug:

Edit: spelling

And MF is GC.

Yes and no on that one. They're owned by the same company I'm quite sure, but operate differently and don't share stock. GC can't sell you an out of stock guitar they have in stock at MF, and same the other way around. Tax also has to be paid in most states for online purchases from GC. Music123 and GC share the goods. They're in fact the same goods. Same with zzounds and americanmusical.

Reported again. You know, I feel bad when someone gets ripped off buying this knock off crap, but take your medicine for not doing your homework and suck it up. You live and you learn (if you're lucky). Don't try to pass your stupidity on to someone else and pretend your crap is legit. I would hate to see a thread here in a week or two that says, "My lovely wife bought me a Christmas present, and this was it..." and see this piece of garbage again.
