holy moly ... leaving aside the colors, I'd like to hear how that pickup configuration sounds.

Oh my! I want the orange one!

My Reflex is a HSS, I love it.
H (or H + middle S) is the closest to the standard Stingray-sound.
Middle S alone sounds like a super-angry P-bass.
Neck S (or neck + middle) sounds very smooth and deep. A very relaxed, deep sound without too much snap and attack.

In the clips I posted earlier in this thread I used all three pups or H + neck S (I can't remember). I feel it gave me a very stingray'ish sound, but with a much fatter bottom. On those clips I also boosted the treble, so it's more aggressive.

I'm planning to upload some clips of the bass on of these days. Just need to get my ass up of the couch and swing by the studio.

I woul have thought that the h in the hss would be a little tighter sounding than the standard stingray due to the humbucker being closer to the bridge. SIck sounding bass though.

How often do you use the front s?

Side note - when requiring more bite (whether to solo, or to run into an effect like delay-chorus) I just switch from Inside coils (passive series) to H - and there I am - snarly Stingray tone. Cuts like a mofo.

In that case I'd recommend one single H Music Man for a change, let's say a reflex single H could be a great choice?

Honestly for me, the only other Musicman that would fit my bill would be Big Al 5 SSS.

6 String HS Bongo though...24 frets would be nice...

Ohh, I see, ...I suggest than one single H Music Man by Your own choice , ...it's good to have at least one in that configuration.

SR HS is a good choice too!

Trouble I find is that the H (bridge) sounds exactly the same on the HH and HS, so I'd opt for a HS or HH, unless you want the classic look.

Bongo is another animal, but if I went H I'd want piezo as well to keep that 4 band EQ.

Yeah, ...I know that, but I really wanted a single H small EQ Bongo, ...need exactly that tone for some of my gigs, ...of course I still got my reflex HH for multi-genre gigs!
