Got the bass earlier today. :hyper:
I took a quick cell phone picture of it just after opening the box. I'll get the missus to snap some better pictures soon, as she is a photographer and I can barely snap a decent one with my phone. :p

It's been on my lap for several hours today and so far I'm loving it! The setup was almost perfect right out of the box and it was in tune (not bad considering it was shipped from the US to Norway). I had to adjust the action slightly, but that's just because I like my strings almost on the frets, and I don't mind a bit of fret buzz.
The neck is straight as an arrow and it now plays beautifully.

I took a quick test run with headphones and I'm amazed by the versatility of the preamp and pickups. My band recently recorded a new EP, but now I have to go back to the studio to redo all my bass tracks with this monster! And I can't wait to head back with another band in a month! :D

Now I just need to find the time to fire up the amp and shake the pictures of the wall...

Sweet, this answers my question about whether or not you can get really low action on these basses. Thanks, man! :hyper::bassist:

Out of the 5, i like the reflex 4 hhs the best as far as tone. i lean towards a slight Jaco burr in my tone that i cant get from the H or HH configs. i do find the neck pickup on the HSS useless for me tone wise. im thinking about burying it as deep as it will go. it looks cool, but its in the way for slap, not that i do much, cuz i tune BEAD on the 4. the bridge and middle on the HSS is also a great tone as is the middle pup by itself. the reflex HH is also a great sounding bass, but i find i dont use the neck pickup much. Next would be my SR5, the white one. Alnico mags and gets the classic MM tone. Im no too fond of the bongo's balance. even with hipshot ultra lite tuners its still SLIGHTLY neck heavy, which in the 21 century i dont think anyone should have to STILL be dealing with. i would have liked the bongo body to be maybe a little longer or wider to give it more counterweight to the neck. Love the 24 frets ! the H model sounds real close the the SR5 that i have so it doesnt get used much, but i had to possess a dargie II or maybe it possessed me? the ray35 is what i carry as the back up bass when i gig. 1 EBMM and the ray35 for justin. Never had to pick it up though. david

im with you on the HH. on the HSS, what i would have like to have seen is a HS. but move the bridge pickup up about a half and inch to catch the the third harmonic and move the middle pup up the same amount to catch the 5th harmonic. THEN give the humbucker the single coil option like the older SR5 has. YES !! then you would really have something. i miss the sc option on the SR5h. the series with the cap or resistor doesnt do much for me. i would probably use the SR5 more if it was like that. i may rewire it some day if i can find a wiring diagram. i would do the same thing to the ray 35.

2 avatar 210 neo cabinets and mark bass littlemark tube 800 head. alesis micro comp compressor.

i would love to find an old ampeg 410E cabinet. the cabinet with 4 10s and NO horn. they are sweet.

For the single coil at the bridge you could find if with the latest Ray HS, Sterling HS or Sterling H.
