EBMM StingRay Special Club

I've missed some that others noted on basses I no longer have. It makes me think that the one I have on my 5H Special is pretty pronounced.
I wouldn't get too hung up on it. Like you, I love the look, tone and feel. Try the clamp/capo trick if it bugs you and see if it helps. It's like everyone's said, most basses have them. Ours just happens to be D instead of C. And the first FF I put on it, killed most of it. Let us know if you try it and if it helps.
Now the neck issue on mine… I am concerned long-term about that.

July will be a year that I've had it and I really haven't thought too much about it until it seemed relevant to the conversation going on here. I thought about a fat finger initially, but just didn't want to hang something like that on the headstock after looking at the photos of them. I plan to just continue gigging the snot out of it :bassist:

That Cruz Teal is my favorite color of all!

I love it in front of the wave! Nice style!
Thanks! I love the Cruz Teal too. Lots of cool colors in the lineup this time around, but this one really ended up growing on me.

HD Yellow might have tempted me too if it had an Ebony board (not sure why they did Rosewood on that one specifically, I think the Ebony would have looked nice)...
Beautiful!!!
Thanks!! I’m digging it so far. Nice and light, 8lbs 8oz

It’s my birthday! Feelin cute. Might change strings later. IDK

View attachment 3416492 Just got my Stingray Classic 5 last week. This is a Guitar Center Platinum with an extra knob. The 4th knob switches between active and passive when pulled out.

That's a sweet classic! I had one for awhile several years back and wish I would've kept it. This particular thread is dedicated to the StingRay Special basses the debuted in 2018. Check out the StingRay Club thread over here - Music Man StingRay Club | PART FIVE

I’m still waiting for my 5HH to arrive.
It’s been more than 6 months since I’ve placed the order.
Has anyone else had waited for sooooo long?
Why is that?
I really wanted the 5HH in the Burnt Apple finish....as apparently everyone else does. I couldn't find one anywhere!!! The estimated arrival date at the time when I finally tired of waiting on one was mid-late July! I DID like the Dropped Copper finish but NOT the pickguard. In my mind I had sort of planned to just go without a pickguard....up until one night last week. That's when I discovered the controls are mounted ON the pickguard!! (welcome to the NEW Millennium!!!) So I'm on the hunt today for a good quality one that fits properly and looks good. These basses are hot right now and MM is not a mass-producer on the level of a Fender so they just take longer filling all the orders1

Chandler/ Pickguard Planet does pickguards for these. I got one last week, and it fits perfectly.

Hi quick question if you don't mind - for Stingray Special 4H, which part number did you use? Their site doesn't
specifically indicate Stingray Special:

PG 3502: Stingray Bass
2nd Gen – with truss rod notch, 1 hum, 9 screws
WE ALSO HAVE:
PG 35028: Stingray Bass
just like guard above; for model years 2006 to present, also fits SUB BASS
