That's OK. Like someone else said, it's not so bad when I'm running compression, which I always am when playing with others. If I'm running my compression in parallel, running high compression and mixing in my dry, then it's even better.Try the clamp/capo trick if it bugs you and see if it helps. Make sure you pad the clamp so nothing gets scratched! On mine the clamp below the G string tuner worked the best but you may have to move it around. Someone mentioned tire weights but I don't know what that'd do to the finish short and long term.

The neck on mine really seems to respond to different gauges and tensions as far as strings go. I got some EB Power Slinky's 50-70-85-105-135. I liked the higher tension of the A,E,B but wasn't really digging the G,D plus I still wasn't getting the set up I wanted with the low string height and no fret buzz I wanted. I changed the G and D to 45, 65 that it came with and Presto! You should see how low I have the action now all across the board. I know it's a personal preference and not all will appreciate such a feat, but I'm pretty happy with it. More than I have been since buying the bass. Unfortunately, EB doesn't make a set in this gauge so I'd have to buy singles and put my own together. Next I want to try GHS Boomers though and they do make a set in this gauge.

Getting the same for Burnt Apple 4H. Awesome look!
Last week, I received my new Burnt Apple StingRay 4H. I looked up the serial number and according to Ernie Ball, the bass was manufactured in September 2018.
Eight months between manufacturing and Sweetwater selling the bass. Does this seem about right? I thought they may be selling faster than that. I am just curious if that is a normal time frame from factory to consumer.

Burnt Apple does seem to be one of the less popular colors, but that also seems like a long time.
The serial number on the other Burnt Apple ay Sweetwater is 38 numbers lower than mine and was manufactured January 2019. Weird!
Does Sweetwater have multiple warehouses across the country? The stuff I buy from Zzounds usually comes from my home state of NJ, but when I ordered my Stingray Special 5 it came from Missouri.
It’s not as common as, say, dropped copper, but does seem popular in that people are willing to wait to get the burnt apple.
That time difference seems unusual. Maybe someone forget it was there!
Well, as you might imagine, I LOVE it!! The color has a lot of audience appeal at my shows.
