One person's "player wear" is another person's neglect.Man, how did you manage to get all those scratches on the top there?

If that "smudging" can be "easily buffed out" then I'd recommend you do it. Probably have a much easier time selling. Just my opinion Do what you want with it. GLWTSOne time, wearing a bracelet I will NEVER wear again!!

I have based my opinion on the pictures that are advertising the instrument for *sale*. So the pictures should be appealing, no?Not sure I'd agree that one bad decision indicates neglect on an instrument, but I suppose you know better having seen a few pictures.
Lower the pickups. Really lower than you normally wouldSorry, a bit late on the reply... Love the bass, it is really light (8.6 lbs but feels much lighter), balanced and pretty hot output. It clips both my Genz Benz heads and my TC Electronic, so I adjust the gain accordingly. No dead spots, neck is smooth and thin. I am just so used to 5 string that I play both at my gigs if there's room on stage. Tomorrow night's gig is a very small area so not sure if I may just bring my Lull 5er simply due to space restrictions. Musicman really hit a homerun with this bass.

So, I got excited to do the hardware swap, and failed to take 'before' pics, but you can find them online. Anyway, the 'after' pics:

Not quite the dramatic difference I pictured, but still cool. Might switch it back, tbh.
I agree. The black hardware looks more refined .I'm not sure how I missed this when originally posted - the natural looks fantastic with black hardware! Admittedly, the charcoal sparkle doesn't look as odd as I thought it would with chrome. I still wish black hardware was an option on all of 'em.
It's the mismatching that is bothersome to me with the black. I would prefer if it was all matte black. Not some matte and some shiny. That's my only issue with the black they used on these.I agree. The black hardware looks more refined .
