I prefer Loxx, but they can be hard to find. Dunlop’s are my second choice.
Loxx are the same connectors used for car and boat tonneau covers. They snap on easily, needing no fussy alignment, and require only a pull of the button to remove.
I'm using the Ernie ball strap locks. I don't like them as much as the Dunlop ones, but they work fine - they don't stick out as far as the Dunlop ones do, so that is nice. But they don't have as satisfying Of a click when you snap them on.

I put Dunlops’ on all my basses. They are direct replacements for the stock units— no drilling, toothpicks, or dowels required. Can use any strap with or without the locking mechanism.

To each his own, but this years colors were my favorite since the special was released.
I really like this year's colours as well. I can understand why some people might not because I do think they tried to push the limits a bit this time in terms of unique and not-so-traditional colours. I like that kind of thing though. Last years finishes were very nice too though.
Like they didn't push the limits with Plumpkin.
I find the plumpkin to be a bit subtle to be honest. I love it and have yet to see it under stage lights, but it's not as flashy as something like the amethyst sparkle or the snowy night finishes. I also wouldn't consider the plumpkin as one of last year's finishes simply because it was limited to a run of 5 I think.
I never saw one in person but I like the idea of a paint that changes color under different angles. I wish they'd come up with another version and make it a regular (not limit it to 5) finish.
Agreed, it would be cool if they had done something like it for a regular run. I don't know how many they've done, but they have done other colour shifting finishes. The ones that come to mind for basses are the plumpkin, dargie delight (2nd version I believe), and the kinetic blue BFR from last winter. I recall they also did a BFR guitar that was a red/orange colour shift that I think they called something like cinnamon.
Besides the plumkin and a few others mentioned, the SR Classic Sledge is also a color shifter.
