With the new colors to be announced in April does anyone foresee another round of price increases? I'd like to wait and see what the new offerings are but also have my eye on a nice current Special which color scheme compliments my 2 other Specials quit nicely. I am kinda stuck on either grabbing it now or taking my chances with new colors and pricing. They say a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. I wonder if this also applies to basses.

Ya, I wasn't too crazy about the new colors either when they were announced but one in particular has seemed to have grown on me over the last few weeks. Funny, because when I first seen it a few years ago when it was presented I actually thought it was tacky and even said so on here. Either my taste has improved some or has now gone completely bonkers. I'm thinking there could be a price increase and there is no guarantee I'll like any of the new colors any better so may grab this one before it's gone for good. If I do get it I'll show photos here where you all can give your opinion, it's a 4H.
Dropped Copper.... an underrated color I think.
I’d expect an increase on the new ones, but the current ones might stay at their price - at least that seemed to be what happened with the older colors on Musicians Friend.
Yes, this one went up $100 from the original price when it was first announced. That and Missouri since Jan 1st is now charging tax on all iternet purchases, so on a Stingray purchase that adds a nice chunk of change. My first 2 Specials were tax free. I don't really need another Stingray but I really would like to have one in each available fret board wood. I have ebony and rosewood now so this next one would be maple. By the way I ordered it, will be here wed. I got the last one they had and with the new colors not far off I'm sure it will be a color harder and harder to get in the future.

Photo of the new bass as promised. 4H 8.5 lbs in Snowy Night. I never cared much for the color when it was first introduced but it really grew on me over time and I wanted something that complimented my Maroon Mist and Tectonic Blue Sparkle, this white sparkle does just that, plus the color is getting very limited in supply with the new batch of colors in the works for April and possibly new pricing. I really didn't want to take a chance on waiting for the new colors and possibly not liking any of them as well as this one or dealing with a possible price increase. The bass looks great alongside my other 2 Specials and with a spot light on this thing it's simply spectacular, like fireworks going off! Came in the new Mono soft bag which is really nice. When we get some sun and the lighting is better inside the house I'll get a photo of the trio together and post it here.
I’ve found photographs really don’t capture the Snowy Night paint job, i love mine in person but don’t have any pics that i like.
Yes, the sparkles are very hard to capture in a photo. I'm going to try to get some better photos when I have more time and the lighting is better.
Lol, very good! That crossed my mind also when I had them hanging together on my bedroom wall. Can't be any more patriotic than getting Red, White and Blue Specials. By the way, looked up the serial numbers on all 3 Rays and all made on July 4th. April fools a little early
. Seriously though, my Maroon Mist was made on Valentines Day Feb 14. I've been in love ever since.
April 13th-15th.
I guess that means we will see new colors hit stores around mid May?
Nice! I always liked the Snowy Night and matching headstocks always make me drool.

Haven't had a band experience in the last two weeks so I'm really looking forward to rehearsal tonight. I'm taking my Special, so I'm going to enjoy a couple of hours of warm, growly goodness. 
Ditto. I have a charcoal sparkleand I just can't take a picture that truly represents what it looks like to the eye. Bummer.
Sparkle finishes are about movement. Hard to capture in a still photo for sure
