EBMM StingRay Special Club

Bongo would be the natural choice but currently really digging these

Both Atelier Z and the craftmanship is ridiculous.

The 5 string J Note sounds like an MTD but only cost me $1300. Has the best fret work I've ever seen.

The P bass is just a ridiculous built and great sounding P bass

Never knew they made a Z that sound like an MTD. That good to know because not everyone likes the MTD neck or price tag.

It's got a familiar feel to my Stingrays but the 4 band preamp and pickup locations give it a nice modern sound. The Bongo also uses a blend pot instead of a pickup selector so it has some different tones with the blend compared to an hh StingRay.
I honestly don't need anymore basses, but I will allow myself a new bass as a retirement gift to myself in a few years. I've always bought my basses used, and I now have excellent instruments that I got a drastically reduced prices. But finally buying myself one high end NEW bass will be a real splurge I'll treat myself to.

But resisting a Bongo before then is tough. If the right one (and I actually mean one, it's a very specific Bongo) came along, I'm not sure I could resist it. I could say something similar about the right Stingray Classic 5, but I did actually successfully resist one when it popped up for sale recently. Wasn't easy, but I already have two Stingrays in my small collection. I have NO Bongos yet.

Yours is a really pretty one.

I have finally joined the Stingray (Special) owners club. I picked up my new BFR Stingray 4H in Ruby Punch from Guitar Center yesterday. I’m naming her Dorothy because of the Ruby Sparkle (like the slippers) and because she got shipped to me from Kansas.View attachment 4864671
That’s a killer looking bass. I’m considering one like yours. How do you like it so far?

New StingRay Specials in stock on MM shop site: 5H Honey Burst. 5HH Flamingo Burst, 5HH Frozen Burst Shop Ernie Ball Music Man - The Vault

Good lord, that satin honey burst with the gold hardware is gorgeous. I also like the flamingo burst but would prefer that without the pickguard like the frozen burst. Good to see EBMM experimenting and putting out new stuff recently.

That Satin Honey Burst with block and gold hardware is sweet!!!

I like the Ice Burst , but wish it had gold hardware. I like my Crescendo better but the blue fade is pretty.
