EBMM StingRay Special Club

As a bassist in a, primarily, modern rock band, I've never even thought about using flats, but that was a pretty convincing video. I've got a bit of time to think about this(I'm changing strings before this weekend's shows), but it's on my list of things to try now...
Flats and tapes are the new modern

Keep in mind the Cobalts feel quite sticky at first, it’d be a shame to play that show feeling like your roasted neck is bleeding sap ;)

I’m still loving the Cobalt flats on my Special.

So i walked into a music store today to try out a special. It was a 4HH in all natural. I started playing it and and hour later didn't want to put it down. So.... i laid down most of my checking account and bought it. Since I live in a different state than their store they offered to ship it to me and save me $120 in tax.. so... itll be here Friday or Saturday.
Now to sell things to make back the cash I really shouldn't have spent! But that neck, pocket, new eq and gorgeous woodgrain just had me sold so hard.

Nice job, a new natural, and welcome to the Special club! You are not alone in falling hard for one of these.

Well you held out longer than the rest of us. They really should come with a play at your own risk warning label.
One play and you’re bound to buy one.
I’ll be waiting for :snaphappy:.

Last night I tried out my StingRay Special 4H under fire at my blues jam. Al I can say is, Wow, I’m impressed! I thoroughly enjoyed it. Somebody once told me that it wouldn’t sound so good with blues. That was very wrong!
And that neck!
All that said, I do have it on the chopping block because I want a lighter one. I’d like to propose an unusual trade offer. To anyone out there with a lightweight StingRay Special 4H or 4HH who does not mind 9 1/2 pounds, I would be willing to swap mine plus $150 for an 8 pounder, any color.
