That Blue would be my choice of the 2 options . Im honestly not a big fan of black hardware, but the wya you spec your custom, black is the right choice to my eyes.

I’m a delicious lover here. Well, not me but the color! GDP sounds like a healthy treat to the ears. Agree with the LadyLove above not a black hardware guy. I’d like to see the up close pics myself. The blue could surprise me…..

Thanks for those links. Those look more muted than in the computer generated image, which the GDP looks good....I actually just got off the phone with EBMM customer service to see if they could send some images of those two colors on an instrument they have on hand or a "swatch" on something. They were very nice and said that they'd see what they can do....Also, on the EBMM website Vault section, they have a "Harvest Orange" w/matching headstock that looks awesome, but it's the standard neck - I did ask if they had one of those with the SLO neck - he said they'd check.

I would go Golden Delicious Pearl with black hardware first. The chrome doesn't do it for me with that color plus I have an HD Yellow with black hardware and I love that bass. However I have always loved Harvest Orange, but I never had the patience to wait several months for EBMM to build me one. If you could get the Harvest Orange now, I would be so jealous.

For a ebony board I would go with the Blue Pearl bust. I think Golden Delicious would look better with a vintage pearl pickguard and maple board

I just got a reply from EBMM customer service with some photos. The GDP was the same pic that @PrimitiveMan had linked. But here is an actual instrument with the Diesel Blue Pearlburst (contrasted with the website generated version):

And an added wrinkle. They said that I can actually use the "Harvest Orange" color (that is in the vault now) for the "Custom Design Experience" (because I want the SLO neck). Now I have a really tough decision! I'm torn between the orange and the blue. Will decide tomorrow (hopefully)

I like the orange. If it was me though, I'd pick grain or a solid color.

I watched some comparisons and based largely on the sound differences in this video, I went for some cobalt flats. Super Slinky set arriving tomorrow. These LaBellas are getting pulled ASAP.

Put on the cobalt flats today. Dear lord, what a great set of strings these are. Absolutely fantastic sound for modern styles.

I think these are now my default strings. I will try chromes at some point but yeah, not looking to venture too far from these cobalts.
