EBMM StingRay Special Club

One of the best things about these basses is that there isn't an ugly color in the bunch. Whatever you choose, it looks great. I wonder if they will make any finish changes for 2019?

Meeeh, that's quite subjective. In fact, besides the usual black, white and natural finish, I'm finding nothing else is really that good looking to me. I dig the Chopper Blue, but I loathe white pearl pickguards, so that one would need to be replaced (not a huge deal). But then I'd prefer a maple fretboard with that finish, and there's only rosewood! Dropped copper looks alright I guess, but it's not something super appealing to me either (unlike coral red which was awesome). And sparkle finishes are just tacky and ugly to me. The neon yellow and other "modern hip" finishes? Barf. So yeah, not really super sold on the finishes. I hope they introduce something else.

Coral Red looks awful in my opinion. See, I’m agreeing and disagreeing with you at the same time.

If I remember correctly, you prefer your 2band Stingray ( which is totally understandable), so I’m not sure how different finishes would matter if you don’t like the basses .

Club threads always attract the naysayers that want to keep telling you why they don't like your bass.

Well, I did this today…

I never said I didn't like them. I said I didn't try one, but would love to. Hell, would love to own one too. I was simply saying finishes are subjective.

When did I say that? I'm a huge Stingray fan. What? P and Ray is all I play. Again, what?

Maybe you didn’t mean it personally but the way it reads.....

This looks so good. Seriously!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ivory white but I'm not a fan of the green tinted pick guard. The roasted neck + headstock give the ivory white more of a warm feel...I have no idea why they didn't go with a warmer toned white with the pick guard. I'm currently ISO a replacement as well.

Hello, today I received my Musicman Stingray special ivory white maple 4 String. Huge sound in 3,9 kg of weight. Beautiful bass but I have a problem. The neck is too much wide for me. I'm thinking about changing for a Musicman Sterling classic white birdseye neck. It is a discontinued model really impossible to find here in Spain. What can I do please? Do you know where can I find one please?. Thanks.
