Eden D210T, any thoughts or experiences?

I'm fixing to buy an eden D210T and was looking for experiences from users on its performance and value for the money.

When I saw the CL ad I was super stoked because I thought it was an xlt, but on further examination i'm fairly sure its the 210T. At least the "T" model will give me a few watts of headroom compared to the xlt, which handles a little more power at 4 ohms than I can send right now.

What do TB'ers think is a good price for this used?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated,

thanks.

the D210T is the very original (old) Eden model. Less output than the XLT, but smoother sound.

If you are talking about the D210XST, that's another story!

it's the d210t. The guy mentioned 250 watts at 4 ohms.

I thought it was the xlt because it lacked a top port, much like the pic on eden's website. When he mentioned the wattage i got confused and then discovered the discontinued products page, and there it was.

Do you think I should take on the 3-hour round trip to drop $275 on one, or should I just wait to find something else in the 300-400 range?

And I appreciate it!

for some reason this decision is giving me some stress, and I don't want to make a mistake on a Cab I could dislike.

I tend to enjoy the yorkville sound, maybe just because it's what I've been using most of my life due to price point.

I find the sound relatively clean, maybe a touch bright.

I saw this eden cab and thought it was a good opportunity to own a real bass name and the quality and tone that goes with it.

I'm using a 15-year-old 15-inch 100w with dark blue fur.

I've also used a yorkville 410 and a peavey 810. the 410 has so far been my favorite. The peavey was pretty good, and a good price, but the 410 actually sounded better.

Then the band broke up, the day job arrived, the gear slowly sold off and here I am in a nostalgic mood looking to rebuild.

I've got a D210T, and have had it since 1995. I use it in conjuction with either an Eden D115 or a WattFab 1x15; I almost never use it by itself. To my ears the D210T doesn't have enough booty-shaking low end to work by itself, but it does add some incredible punch and articulation to the 1x15" boxes I use it with. On the other hand, Mylse Boisen, the recording engineer who tracked Debris' Rapture In The Church Of Disreputable Daydreams and who also happens to be an excellent bassist himself, told me he had never heard a 10" bass cabinet with as much low end extension as my D210T.

$275 sounds like a decent deal. Heck, I'd buy another if I could get it for $200-250, and I don't even need a new cab!

There is alot of discussion about the D210T tone on the Eden Electronics Forum. You have to do a search for past threads, but I think it would be useful.

Also, see if you can get the seller to drop the price maybe $25? Maybe say something about increased gas prices, etc. :ninja:
In other words, see if they're firm on the $275 price.
