Eden Forum Disappears

Heck no, this one stays. It's my second. The THAT4301 [This invalid link has been removed] is why I have it. Mackie and others built it into channel strips for mixers. It does a bunch of stuff, including the compression and warmth.
And there you go! That is info I didn't have before. Thanks for giving me the specifics. I remember David said it was used in some Heath and Allen boards and he loved the sound so he integrated it into the totally Solid State WT405. Thanks man!

You're welcome! The best part is that I'd forgotten the chip number, and had to go find the TB thread from when I took my first 405 apart 9 years ago. :roflmao:

I came onto that forum in about 2008 when I got my first Eden Nemesis amp. It quickly became a habit to check it daily. I was so active on it that I eventually was invited to become one of the moderators. Really sad to see it go. It was a great place to get quick answers to questions about using, setting up, or fixing minor issues with Eden gear.

That's Good! It's great that you could look it up. I think I'll try to remember it a bit as being "that" chip with a Rickenbacker model number - 4301. So THAT 4301 "ric-chip" is the Golden-Ear chip.

Probably the best thing about it is the very nice DBX feel to the compressor.

There was no notice given and no explanation posted, they just pulled it entirely. Armin tried to see if he could perhaps adopt the forum so we wouldn't lose all the years of information, diagrams, illustrations, sticky notes, and Eden knowledge accumulated over the years. Marshall just said, "No".
Have you tried the "way back machine" to view and possibly copy the data so you don't lose it.

I'm not an IT whizz but have used it on occasions (it's just I can't remember how).

:( bummer. I still have a WT550 (can't remember which rev) that's been sidelined for a while...a couple of bands of EQ have gone out on it while loaned to a friend and I haven't even bothered to pop it open (currently playing a Mesa D-800+ almost exclusively). Got a LOT of mileage out of that amp, though, and loved the sound of my Alembic through it.

I went to search on the eden forum as I am trying to replace D112XLT speaker.... I contacted the marshall people about a replacement speaker and the person that emailed back has no clue about their products.. Sorry that eden is pretty much dead to me.
Hey @alavelle The speaker you're looking for is the EN-1260M8, which is an 8 ohm 250-watt speaker. Marshall changed item numbers in 2013 and the new number is SPKR-70023, which is again an 8 ohm speaker but with 300-watts power handling. Probably best to try to order that through an Eden dealer with the newer speaker number.

If still no love, then I'd contact Eminence, tell them what the speaker numbers were/are and ask them what you could use to substitute. They are the ones who actually manufactured them although you cannot buy Eden speakers directly from them. I do believe they came out with similar speakers as Eden started dropping the XLT cabs in favor of the XST cabs. Currently Eden only offers the D112XST. If you have to talk to Eminence, give them both item numbers.

Thanks for that and thanks to @dabis for the link. I looked around in the general forum a bit and all the posts up until June 29, 2019 are there. Also looked at the "Big Sticky Thread of Bass Faq's" (only read 30,274 times). Posts all seem to be there but photos are a crap shoot. Some are there, PhotoShop PhotoBucket ones are there but are blurred behind a Photoshop PhotoBucket label, and some just show the "broken image" icon.

If I can figure out where to download it, I'll grab it. It has everything from May 12, 2005 up through June 29, 2019 and that's worth saving if I can do it.

Thanks,
Dan

Eden Authorized Repair Centers can still work on them if you want to get it fixed.

The only experience I had back then with the forum was when trying to buy used an Eden cab. Some of you, think @bobcruz and some others help me to identify correctly the drivers. A shame a place of shared knowledge and courtesy is closed by an icon named Marshall, that used to represent the greatness of the music. Maybe Eden nor Marshall amps are what they used to be in the 80's-90's.
