Well, FWIW, I didn't get that from your comments, but I do think it's good just to make sure. Personally, I think your gist of documenting everything as best as possible is a great idea.Didn't mean to imply that it should be done in secret. My bad.
Thanks.. we are working at it. Lane has been very forth coming after our emails back and forth. Sean The regional rep has been outstanding.. but still it is not settled.. but a work in progress... i wil report back at the end.Oh, and by the way, if you record a conversation with someone without making them aware, you can expect to get in trouble. If you let someone know you're recording their conversation, you can expect them not to say much. Either way, it doesn't do you much good in a legal proceeding. These are the kinds of things I'm referring to when I say SOME people here are just "mouthing off."
SVTB15 - Hang in there, and please report back here enough to let everyone know how it all pans out in the end. Good luck in getting this resolved!!!!

But FYI.. in the state of Texas you can record a conversation between two or more parties if you want.. without telling the other party.. only one party needs to know that the coversation is being recorded and that person can be the person doing the recording... gotta love that.. and it includes recording telephone too.
Better check your federal law on that, especially if the conversation takes place across state lines.

I f i remeber correctly it is even OK over statelines. I was told by a lawyer friend that does corporate law and criminal defence years ago...Better check your federal law on that, especially if the conversation takes place across state lines.

Some states have things in place i suppose.. but texas has its own rules.. and it was ok on telephone calls... only one person needs to be aware of the recording and that person can be you.. at least in this state...
If homeland security can do it we can too.. right.:scowl:![]()
thats a good thing to know..Or just notify them. If they for some reason back out b/c of this reason, ask what do they have to hide?
That's what would worry me the most.![]()
Case law supports tax cases getting thrown out b/c the "Service" at times won't have meetings if you notify them properly you're going to record convos.Nice!
ya never know when you may need to go to the mat with those guys.snip
Sorry they're still trying to hose you man... It's hard to replace a certain niche in your personal tastes and it's hard to let go even through all this. But hopefully you'll get it sorted out!

that was a week ago.. i was supposed to have heard from them yesterday as to when the amp will ship... no word yet..
You know, it looks like the individuals are trying to do their jobs, it's just the coorporate channels are choking up the process. And you wonder why people think so lowly of the coorporate buyouts...![]()
I know this for a fact. When David sold to US Music Corp. part of his deal was that he was still incharge of product development, build and RELEASE. This was told to me by several people at US Music Corp. when I first signed on with them (about a year after the buy out).
+1 Mike.
Did you get a chance to use your GBE1200 yet.. Ona gig that is.. All i get are great reports that second what you have to say about it...
Yeah .. i got the royal screwing from eden.. staill waiting.. and waiting.. all the while the store does not wan to give me back my money...
I filed a BBB report.. all the good that will do.. but it is my duty
Shame about the Eden stuff.
Mike... as you know, I have been impressed with the GB products that I have played also. I think part of what you are hearing is the massive three space, lead sled power transformer, etc.
While I am not a fan of the DB750 (too wide in the low end, and rather muffled sounding to my ear), the Carvin B1500 and Glock Heart Rock are similarly impressive. They provide a total different low end and punch/presence than even very high wattage two space heads like the WT800, etc. I don't know the EE reason... but there must be some advantage to that huge transformer (of course, there is a 20 pound incremental weight cost also). My Glock HR is probably similar to your GBE1200 in that way... just a whole different 'knock a wall down/punch you in the chest' thing that seems to be much more than just the high wattage.
That being said, even though I love my Heart Rock, the price/value of the CarvinB1500 and GBE1200 is pretty amazing to me.
I believe the "lead sled" amps are part of it. I didn't like the DB750 either for the same reasons you stated (loose and wooly to me). The GBE1200 is warm, punchy, incredible quick and will knock you througha wall at higher volumes.
I play a B1500 yesterday in Hollywood. It was very loud but to me the tone was lacking that tube warmth. It was tight and punchy but not warm enough for me. This is where the GBE1200 beats it for sure.
The GBE is just as loud but oh man does the tube channel kick ass. The fet channel does the clean thing a little better than the Carvin too IMO.
I am still SHOCKED at the price of these heads. They should be a little higher given what you are getting. Anyone looking at a DB750 should really try the GBE1200 out. IT has the warmth but not the wool. Plus it is by far more tonally flexible. AND... about $800 cheaper. Maybe more if you work a good deal.
The ONLY THING I can gripe about is I wish it had a rear input so I can go straight out of the wireless and into the head without wrapping a cable around the from. That isn't even a big deal but that is the only thing I can find wrong with this head.
As far as backlie companies go, Eden better watch out. They have been on e of the top go to companies for backlines for years. I think this is changing and I wouldn't be surprised that it had to do with repairs and customer service. GB is picking up more backline companies and I bet in the next 2 - 3 years they willhave a large footprint across the America with backline companies! That will nice because I know what I will get at a show then too!![]()
