Effector 13 - Console II (made possible by Devi Ever)

i know a lot of people love Ms. The Ever's pedals for bass. i've never had much luck, but i love how i've heard them sound on other's setups.

the One Box To Rule Them All is a very cool idea, and a neat way to try out scads of effects. production costs would drop oodles for the builders going this route ne?

This **** is now officially open source.

I want to stress that these are PRELIMINARY dimensions that have been created before even an initial prototype has been made, so as we go through the prototyping process there may be changes, but for the most part these should be relatively accurate in terms of a general surface area for the placing of components, etc.

I think that this is a great idea. I wonder just how many more effects makers we would have if they could just focus on building a cartridge for their effect, and not have to reinvent the power/bypass wheel each and every time.

1-cart, 2-cart, 4-cart, 6-cart, 8-cart units.

What was your end result?

Just like all who where taken by the individual, full restitution (- aggravation/stress, but + a great TB thread) was made.

This is by no means praising or even speaking well about him. He tried to really convince me (us) that it was a "mistake" and not several well thought out plans. But with the help of everyone, HUGE effort by Water, we were paid back. Some individuals months after initial deal.

WATERPILOT = a rare-breed

i love you guys.

i was kinda wet for this when it was first announced, but now i'm not that into it. no slagging intended towards Ms. The Ever, she does the good work, it just seems like a mid step between a single pedal and a multi unit without the benefits of either. all IME and shizz.

interested to see what it does turn into though. glad you got it back on track!

I think a huge deal is you're abandoning about 30 or 40 bucks a pedal in overhead for enclosures, jacks, pots and switches; and that's before you get into the labor involved in assembling or painting them.

I think, behndy, that you are much more of a flipper than a hoarder, but for the hoarders this would be pretty badass

For flippers too! I mean, with everyone having the ability to create all kinds of cool little cartridges, there'll probably be a lot more straight trading going on. :)

innnnterrresssting.

yah, again, not trashing the idea at all, but for me the only multi i keep coming back to is the M9, and that's 'cause i love having it setup as a 6 in 1 box with no page
changing.

i guess when i see pedals i always think of them for live use. and this would sidestep the save spots from a multi i'd want, and not have as specific an interface as singles usually go for to leverage all they can do. for having a collection of easily storable, less space taking up'ed'ness or in a studio use where you have time to fiddle through different carts.... yeah. i could see it excelling at that.

FLIP THE HOARD.

oh jia. i LOVE the jdea of an open source style thingy. THAT'S ridiculously awesome. but i know me.... i always get side tracked whenever i try to do vst programming or AbSynth stuff.... so i'd never use that the right way.

again, it's a very cool idea, just dunno if it'd work for me on a pedalboard. neat though.
