Electra/Westone club

I just recieved my 1986 Westone X750PW Pantera bass . This has to be the sexiest best playing, sounding bass I have played in 35 years of playing bass.My Thunder I might have to move over to let this one be my number 1.I will post pics later as I am going to find a new image host and Im too busy playing right now.

The local X630N popped up again on CL, for $125 this time.

I am not sure if it is worth it. This is the fretless version, he does not have the fretted neck.

Please don't undercut me, saw it first (have to say that because one TBer did it one day).

Thanks

Can I be number eight?

This is a model X640N. It was my first electric bass.
It was $420 with a hard shell Fender Jass bass case.

I bought it because of the sound. It has an 18 volt
peramp. It was the first active bass I ever heard of.

That bass boost sold me.

Tabdog, that is a great looking bass you have there. Just wanted to tell you this thread has been inactive for 6 months. The OP hasn't posted back at all. No one to give out numbers but I'm sure you could have number 8 , maybe we could get this thread going again. I love Westones but ther doesn'tseem to be too many on TB who does.

I am a Westone fan. I had a brand new white Westone bass in 1986, it was my third bass and I have been looking for one recently. I will join your ranks as soon as I find on here on TB.

Love to see this thread comming to life, nobody made basses nicer than Uncle Mat. If you guys want numbers maybe we could resurect this thread and get her done. If noone minds I'll make up a numbers list until Hamsterman comes back.

Sounds fine with me.

I have been in love with my Westone over a quarter of a century,

There you go folks, Don't forget to add your number to your signature. I did move things around a little but I hope all will be good. Hopefully we will be able to keep this thing going.

Hey tabdog,
It is a shame that the matsomuko factory closed in 86, but I think most of us that have them keep them. I have 2 Westone basses and 1 Westone guitar and no plans of letting any of them go anywhere. I don't find too many of them used around here but when I do they're mine.

oooh. I've got a number now!

well, the Electra Outlaw MPC I had back then has gone onto a new owner, but I have a few other projects I've been working on....

A pair of Westone Quantums... the black one had been totally gutted, and the orange one had an old refinish on it that had been sanded down to bare wood...

Armybass, there is a very minty Westone Headless Superbass on eBay right now, the one that's red with the black center stripe. I almost bid on it because I love headless and it is just sooooo coool. But then someone contacted me about a Kubicki Key Factor 4 and I was screwed.
