Electric car as power source?

You are correct. The technologies themselves won't solve anything. However poking holes in peoples attempts to find more eco friendly transportation solutions is a trued and true tactic of climate change deniers.
Then for all of our sakes it would behoove people to not be triggered by what sounds like and see what’s true in their analysis.

I spoke of two unintended consequences brought about by well meaning policies/people.
I repeat everyone isn’t an enemy.

Now some people are hyper defensive about their position. It’s almost like they fear they will lose if they listen. The characterization of others who question as the enemy leads us to a time many have lived through before.

Disregard the deniers. They aren’t a large group. Disregard anyone who paints with a wide brush. Stay off media that promotes just what you think. That keeps you as myopic as the ones you despise.

Most of all remember we are in this together. We aren’t trying to save just us. We want guitarists, singers, drummers etc. to live long and prosper too. :):)

Let's look at the root of the issue here.

Problem: a band needs electricity in order to perform

Proposed solution: a band that doesn't rely on electricity

Following the thread topic diversion of cars and fuels, the only thing gonna save the planet is mass transportation and fewer cars of all types. Think rail. I like what the UK does. Yes I have ridden on it. Not ideal but I could definitely do a gig using British rail. Think less stuff.
You are correct. The problem is that everywhere people want to drive not take the bus or train. Even in places like Europe and Japan and China. In America where we’ve already built our cities with the auto in mind we are stuck with it. So more eco friendly individual transport is a must. But hopefully the cities of the future will be more walkable than today.

I want to see a massive bazillion-gigawatt festival sound system powered solely by furiously-scurrying climate change deniers in giant hamster wheels.
