Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff

ok so, the "Dry" selection on the toggle turns the tone knob into a blend? As in center is 50/50 wet/dry? Or did I read that wrong?

And I am most certainly happy I didn't end up buying a LBM, since this will be the much better choice I'm sure!

Glad this is coming out, my LBM is buggered. Just took the components board out to see if i could find whats wrong with it and noticed it says on the front of the pedal "Made in NYC, USA" then on the inside it says "made in china", weird eh? Cant see a problem with it. At least its an excuse to get the bass muff:hyper:

could it be that the boards etc. are made in china, but assembled in the USA?

It is indeed a fixed blend. I don't know if it's 50/50 precisely, but yeah, the settings are blended Dry, Normal, and Bass Boost, for a ridiculous sound.

I got the chance to try this out at NAMM - the Bass Big Muff was what struck me most. Love that thing, and will be buying one as soon as I can. (Disclosure: I don't have much experience with effects - my experience is limited to futzing with my GT6B. I can say, however, that I really liked this pedal, since it held volume and presence way better than other fuzz pedals have in the past.)

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. Sounds like a monster, it's definitely on my to-get list (aka GAS)
