Elrick Gold EVO 5 - Buckeye Burl

New user to TB and this is my first post. Just got my first boutique bass and decided to go with Elrick. Wasn't sold on them until I saw this beauty at bassclubchicago.com The buckeye burl caught my eye and I had to have it. Absolutely love the pattern, the smooth satin finish and the Barts sound amazing (at least through my headphones, will play through my amp tonight). My only previous experience with Bartolini was on an Ibanez and I thought they sounded too flat with no pop to them, so I'm glad these ones have changed my mind. It will take some getting used to from my MM Stingray 5 since the neck is so much wider as is the string spacing, not to mention I've been playing flats for the last few years and this came with rounds on it. Now I just need the bars to open back up so I can get out and gig again!

Sweet bass. You made an excellent choice as you know.

I was really digging the looks of it until I got to the third pic and things turned ugly.

Seriously, it looks like a very nice bass. Never even touched one myself so I have no idea if I'd like it, but that's moot as it's yours. I hope you dig it for a long time.
