Shocked this hadn't gotten more praise sooner in the thread.Tecamp Puma 900. clean, massive tone, very responsive to changes in playing styles. Very easy to sound great with it, and the ringer? 2.2 pounds- 900 watts!View attachment 612886
You can use the xlr out for head phones. Just make an adapterI'll second the Markbass LM II. I've had it for about four years now. It has versatile tone shaping, it sounds great with my fEARful 12/6, and it's been super reliable. I only wish it had a headphone out, but otherwise, no complaints.
I favor the GK MB800 and Glockenklang Blue Soul. Maybe the best SS amp I ever owned is the Glockenklang Heart-Rock, but it's too heavy so I shifted to the Blue Soul which is similar in tone but one-fourth the weight. I go for the modern clean, "uncolored" tone. I don't want to have to do too much knob tweaking to get to my sound.Hey folks,
Of course, I am a big tube fanatic but I also love a lot of Solid States. There's been a ton of Tube Talk lately, let's talk solid state.
What's your pick of the litter and why?
